August 8, 2015. Talk about social pressure. I sign up for a class and find out I’ll need to say a prayer – out loud. For the whole class. Granted, it was a New Testament class, but still. I’ve never said a prayer of my very own for other people – ever. Yikes. My palms started sweating. Every prayer was so different. Every prayer so personal. Every prayer heartfelt. Here’s mine. For the Beginning of Class. God of compassion, God of comfort. God of life, God of light. God of our being, God in our presence.
