And the toddler woke somewhere in the neighborhood of every hour last night. Speaking of, our assignment for Monday, from Kate Messner's blog. My daughter doesn't sleep. Okay, that's an exaggeration. My students begged me to keep reading this book, even when the last bell of the day would ring. Several kids - not normally big readers - implored me to let them borrow the book overnight so they could read ahead. I'm not sure there's better praise for a YA book. I decided this year that I would be reading aloud to my students. The first book we read was The BFG.

21 March, 2013. I wrote this last week in the midst of packing, but I'm just now getting around to posting. 4 years. There were so many moments along the way that felt long, but looking back now it all went by in a rush. 4 years and 2.75 children later we’re going back. I can’t even wrap my mind around all the ways we’ve changed. I figure it will take years to really process these 4 years. It makes perfect sense to me, and is very wise. I love you. 25 December, 2012. 12 December, 2012. Random Ramblings from Tennessee. The blog has been quiet since we've been back in the states for my sister's wedding. We've been pretty busy and on days when we are not busy I stay busy eating! Eating for three (NOT twins! Nursing pregnancy) is exhausting. The boys (mostly Jude) have also been sick. Despite that we've had a great time enjoying family and friends. Here are a few pictures from our time in Tennessee. Jude loading leaves into his John Deere trailer.

19 September, 2012. Parenting and Lake Tanganyika. When Jude was younger he seemed to like swimming. Somewhere along the line he developed a major dislike for the pool. This is frustrating since we don't have a lot of recreational activities available to us in Geita. 25 May, 2012. We are enjoying our two boys and having Gran-Nan around as we work on the necessary paperwork and recovery here in Dar. Today I just have a couple of links to share. Jonathan and Brooklynn Sims have spent the last 8 months in Tanzania apprenticing with different missionaries. Some of that time was spent with our team in Geita.
