Thursday, December 2, 2010. The temperature in the last week has definately dropped by quite a bit here. We reached freezing this past night! Now, instead of having the air on all day we have the space heaters going so it's warm when we get home from work! It's almost 6pm, that means supper is calling. We continue to count down - - 8 DAYS! And 6 WORK DAYS! It's not just us counting down, the other long-termers are too! Just ours has a bit of a different meaning than theirs does! Have a happy weekend!

Thursday, November 25, 2010. Happy U.S Thanksgiving! The house roof is now completely sheeted and only a small amount of tar paper left to put on. That's what we were working on today. Mom and Dad Reimer had just arrived as we drove up to camp after work so we will spend the weekend with them! Happy U.S Thanksgiving for all you U.S'ers! Friday, December 10, 2010. Our journey with Jesus. It felt like we would never get to say this, but this is our last day! We officially completed work for the day. This morning was our last breakfast, today was our last lunch, tonight will be our last supper, ( the long-term group is going for pIZZA! With a little convincing.) and tonight will be our last night in our camper! For a few months, anyways.). Well, no. "Will we regret it if we don't do it? We just want to once again, say a HUGE thank you.

Our temperatures during the day are usually high teens and low 20's. definately t-shirt and shorts weather. Spent quality time with mom. Watched my nephew win Best of Show at the Lampeter Fair. Watching a tractor parade with dad. After the funeral, she was busy putting more flowers on Grandma's coffin. Wednesday, July 18, 2012. A Few of My Favorite Things. I love old things! A friend asked me if I would like to have a chicken coop that came from an old chicken house they tore down. She knew I was looking for something for the kids to put hats, gloves, shoes, etc. in and thought this would be perfect. Well, it is! Tuesday, December 28, 2010. I love this time of year! I love decorating the house while listening to Christmas music. I love the smell and taste of fresh baked Christmas cookies. I love burning candles around the house. I love taking cookies to the neighbors. I DO NOT LOVE trying to take a family picture. Usually it it chaos! I don't think I have many pictures where all the children are actually smiling and happy! This year I was determined there had to be a better way! I couldn't believe it! 3/4 Cup but...

Wednesday, March 9, 2011. A favorite dish made when family gathers from a distance:. Roast pork tenderloin or roast in oven 6 or 7 hours on low or 350@ 3-4 hours. 1 cup veg oil. 2 Tbs garlic powder(can cut back). 1/2 cup lemon juice. Pour over roast after shredding and reheat a couple hours. I have many good memories of spending time with my cousin growing up. Now, our daughters and sons are best friends. Horse back riding with my cousin. My girls loved all the attention they got the whole weekend!

Tuesday, June 28, 2011. Summer is now in full swing and I wanted to share a few fun ideas to keep the kiddos occupied. I started playing with a few ideas that I found at a blog called "Brown Paper Packages". I found $1.00 flower pots at Walmart and painted a letter for each of the childrens names, then let them decorate with stickers and markers. I also decided to make the hallway into an art gallery. The children love it! Ah yes, summertime.Only 3 weeks into into and still so many adventures to come!
