Mother's Day and Father's Day have long since come and gone, but this year they were especially meaningful now that we have both kids and Sloane is getting bigger! For Mother's Day, our nanny, Brianna, helped the kids make some darling little flowerpots they they helped paint and surprised me with - I was so excited! For Father's Day, Phil's gift was a new set of golf clubs - a pink set, for a child about 36" high. I don't know who was more excited.

Wednesday, July 28, 2010. Porter is now 1 month old and getting used to life on the outside. He's had his first bath (hated it, now loves it) worn all of his new newborn clothes, and loves the swing. He's even had his first real photo shoot at 8 days old (those pics to follow soon! A "teaser" of the professional newborn shoot - tough being a model. All cozied up in the swing, I love his little legs curled up. Just chillin out on the couch, looking very cool! JJ, Phil, Sloane and Porter. Happy 4th of July!

I grew up on horses and honestly, one of the things I worry about most is that Sloane could never get the chance to learn how to ride. (I know Grandma Suitter would NEVER let that happen but, you know how mom's worry about stuff that is never going to happen.). JJ, Phil, Sloane and Porter. Mother's and Father's Day. Wednesday, April 21, 2010. More Easter pics at Grandma and Grandpas house! Our Easter eggs finally finished. Finding eggs that the Easter bunny left! JJ, Phil, Sloane and Porter. Saturday, April 3, 2010. We are in Idaho Falls for Easter visiting Grandma and Grandpa Suitter. It's very cold and snowy so we had to stay indoors but that's OK because there is lots to do! We went over to Great Grandma and Grandpa Longhursts and colored Easter eggs! They turned out beautiful - show you some pictures next time!

Tuesday, January 25, 2011. It's hard to believe that Porter is 7 months old now! JJ, Phil, Sloane and Porter. After 2 years, Sloane finally has enough hair to cut without it being completely obvious! Great idea, right? Getting ready for the first cut. The first pieces trimmed. Tas showing Sloane her scissors. Yes, that's Julie watching with her hair wrapped in 2 lbs of tinfoil. Friday, April 29, 2011. Baby chick week at CAL Ranch store in Idaho Falls. Big hit. Coloring eggs with Grandma Suitter. Grandmas have bigger mess tolerance levels than moms. Last year, we really overdid the Easter thing and learned a lesson: too much Easter candy when they can't really eat it leaves it to the parents to eat for the next 6 months or Phil takes to the office where it gets devoured in under 30 minutes. This year, I think we struck a good balance. The Easter Bunny's loot. Maci as she is.
