Axis Of Reflection: October 2012
http://www.axisofreflection.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Reflections on math, special education, and what is happening in my classroom. Thursday, October 18, 2012. I saw @jreulbach's foldable for order of operations and just loved the idea of using the mnemonic GEMS versus using PEMDAS. Foldable from http:/ ispeakmath.files.wordpress.com/2012/09/20120918-102456.jpg. While I loved Julie's foldable. SIDE 1 of GEMS Resource. SIDE 2 of GEMS Resource. We'll call this a made4math even though it isn't Monday! If I waited until Monday, it may never have been blogged!

Axis Of Reflection: August 2012
http://www.axisofreflection.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Reflections on math, special education, and what is happening in my classroom. Monday, August 27, 2012. I do not think this means what you think it means. The one bright spot in the training was the playing roles of students from (actual) scenarios we had contributed. My favorites included:. The poorly received assistance from an avuncular upper clansman and resulting hurt feelings. The vainglorious drama-seeking-center-of-attention-hogging-mean-girls and their rotating exclusion of each other. Maybe our...
Axis Of Reflection: July 2013
http://www.axisofreflection.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html
Reflections on math, special education, and what is happening in my classroom. Wednesday, July 31, 2013. TMC13 - Exhaustingly Exhilirating. Last year I was a member of #twitterjealousycamp for sure. I wanted to go to St. Louis, but a combination of the cost and social insecurity deterred me. My session went well (I think). Nine people came! Live tweeted the session. She also got me to volunteer to do a repeat for #globalmath department on Sept 17th. She's very tricky like that. And I notice. I wonder.
