A Year In Normandy. Adventures of a young francophile. Joyeux Jour de Reconnaissance! La nourriture pour les bidons froids. As the weather gets colder, I get more cravings for warm comfort food. Unfortunately, no matter how cold it gets here, it’s never enough for snow. We do get a lot of random hail in Normandy though (i.e. last Easter! Corn and Cheese Soup. 2 large onions, finely chopped. 1 clove garlic, crushed. 2 T cumin grains. 1 L chicken bouillon. 2 potatoes, pealed and chopped. 1 cup corn purée.

Om dan plotseling het stuur te moeten omgooien voor een pluizig dier en te ontdekken dat het niet langer mogelijk is de bocht te halen. De gevolgen laten zich raden : geen muur meer en een ietwat gehavend voertuig. De plaatselijke politie wist me nog mee te geven niet te remmen voor dieren. Just go for the roadkill Sir!
