A Year of Baking: Food Disclaimer
http://ayearofbaking.blogspot.com/p/food-disclaimer.html
A Year of Baking. One woman's mission to bake every day for a year. We are, for food purposes, an average American family. We don't have any food allergies or other diseases that cause us to avoid certain foods. I bake with milk, wheat/gluten, nuts and a host of other foods that may cause allergies. A Year of Baking. One woman's mission to bake every day for a year. Thursday, September 9, 2010. Washing Fruit and Vegetables. One thing I want to include in this blog is hints and tips to make baking (and cooking, I guess.) easier for the average person. These will range all over the place and will include things I've learned over the years to things I'm just now learning. One of those tips you always hear from professionals is "Wash Your Fruits And Vegetables! I did eventually learn how to wash fruits ...
A Year of Baking: About Me
http://ayearofbaking.blogspot.com/p/about-me.html
A Year of Baking. One woman's mission to bake every day for a year. Yup, it's an "About Me" page. Which means I should actually tell you about me! I love to bake. I bet that isn't much of a shocker for you. I learned to bake from my mother, who learned it from her mother. In fact, to this day we get together once a year and have a crazy baking day. One year I'll take my girls. Oddly enough, I can't cook very well unless the recipe calls for baking (like Macaroni and Cheese. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
A Year of Baking: Orange Wedding Cookies
http://ayearofbaking.blogspot.com/2010/12/orange-wedding-cookies.html
A Year of Baking. One woman's mission to bake every day for a year. Tuesday, December 14, 2010. So now I've given my mom a new book on her every growing list (aptly named Mt. Bookpile). While I give my mom new books to read, she gave me her recipe for Orange Wedding Cookies. It's a variation on the Mexican or Italian Wedding Cookies. I've had some. And by some I mean at least 5 yesterday alone. These are wonderful and very easy to grab and go! 1 1/2 cups unsalted butter. 3/4 cup confectioners’ sugar.

A Year of Baking. One woman's mission to bake every day for a year. Wednesday, December 29, 2010. The Microwave Cupcake Disaster. I am having quite a day. I'm blaming the rain, because right now I need to blame something. Here's the recipe I made. I'd love feedback on how to fix it if any of you have suggestions. I will be trying to fix it myself, but not today. 1 1/2 cups flour. 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder. 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda. 1 teaspoon baking powder. 1 1/2 cups sugar. 5 Spray your mugs t...

A Year of American Living. Just another WordPress.com site. How it all Started. Things I Learned at Walmart. June 2, 2012. And if I did, I don’t Walmart would be the first thing I craved. We don’t even have Walmart in Brooklyn (she says pretending that Target isn’t essentially Walmart’s first cousin). Why can’t we at least make the ones we sell within our own borders? Cups also come in packs of two and are made from the same recycled milk jug plastic that my daughter’s Green Toys. We’re still using...

Daily Affirmations
August 24, 2010. I wore this dumb outfit today and felt dumb all day and then proceeded to eat 2 sugar cookies, a chocolate chip cookie dough cookie, a brownie bite and a cafe rio pork tostada. UGH. I'm running tonight. April 4, 2009. Staying up until 5am, not the best idea. But I did find this little gem. I had forgotten about. I was having a kinda sad day. I went to a movie by myself, which didn't seem to help until this trailer came on. It's SO ridiculous that it made me smile. View my complete profile.

Just another WordPress.com site. A Year of Bacon. Another bit of bacon.
