Saturday, July 16, 2011. I end this blog with 2 beginnings. They are both story ideas I scribbled onto paper several months ago. a year with chickens: April 2011

http://www.ayearwithchickens.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html

Friday, April 29, 2011. Funny Story Friday #10. Ted and I have many commonalities, but some big differences in how the Creator designed us. Case in point. One of the whales came right up to the glass, in my naivety I thought this to be rare. Anyway, I stood in total awe of this beautiful creature and was moved. I looked at Ted who to my surprise seemed to be sharing in this "moment" with me. I smiled inside and out and said, "Isn't this amazing! Please, how boring and irritating would that be! Your right...

Saturday, June 25, 2011. Poppy's you make me smile! My new yard is a wee bit like Christmas, and I love it! Every couple weeks I'm making new discoveries as things begin to bloom. I was delighted by the recent poppies that popped in a former sea of green. These flowers are just FUN to me. Posted by Robin Bailey. July 5, 2011 at 7:09 AM. I never thought about that being a new yard for you as well as a new home! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Id do it different. Poppys you make me smile!

a year with chickens: June 2011

http://www.ayearwithchickens.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html

Wednesday, June 29, 2011. I'd do it different. Fishing. It was never my favorite. As kids in summer, my mom and dad would take us out and I’d maybe last an hour before I invariably had to go to the bathroom or just grew restless. I liked things with more action and fishing, to me, was action challenged. Knowing now what I didn’t then, I’d go fishing with my dad when he asked. Posted by Robin Bailey. Saturday, June 25, 2011. a year with chickens: October 2010

http://www.ayearwithchickens.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html

Sunday, October 31, 2010. The Great Potato Harvest. It was an exciting morning last week when my eldest declared we should harvest potatoes. As suspected, the event was delightful so it is with first hand knowledge I repeat the recommendation that all should grow potatoes, regardless of age! The kids were bursting as we unearthed the purple and brown spuds and honestly, I was too. Each turn of the soil brought happy kid chatterings and eager hand digging. It was a fun, dirty finger nail morning! So, 2 ni...

Kid: Tater, can I have the sponge brush when you are done? Here you go. It a Sponge Bob! K: You know Sponge Bob? T: Yeah, I see Sponge Bob at the car wash. Mom, are you watching me?: Spork's Pirate Party

http://momareyouwatchingme.blogspot.com/2015/07/sporks-pirate-party.html

Mom, are you watching me? Sunday, July 19, 2015. I love party planning, and it is so much easier and more fun when I raid Pinterest for ideas, then tweak them as needed! Cheap homemade invitations on cardstock, trimmed to fit in basic envelopes. Font: Pieces of Eight. Clip art: Galleon sail ship. X marks the spot, of course! I would have hung it on our front door with a wreath hanger, but our front door had a little incident the day before the party. Tempera paint on poster board, hung with twine. Cut wa...

http://momareyouwatchingme.blogspot.com/2015/07/a-conversation-with-macaroni.html

Mom, are you watching me? Sunday, July 12, 2015. A conversation with macaroni. Tater's favorite video these days is Yo Gabba Gabba! So she has been singing the party in my tummy song, and at dinner tonight, she had an interesting conversation with the macaroni on her plate. T: You cooled down? Ok, come to the party in my tummy! Macaroni (voiced by T): Oh it's so fun! T: (to the next forkful) Well, you are sick, so you can't come to the party. You better go home and rest. Get well soon, ok? M: It's so fun!

http://momareyouwatchingme.blogspot.com/2015/06/some-fathers-day-doozies.html

Mom, are you watching me? Sunday, June 21, 2015. Some Father's Day Doozies. We had a pretty nice Father's Day this year. We went strawberry picking then out to lunch at B-Dubs. I asked the children if they could give Daddy nice restaurant behavior as part of their gift to him, and it worked for the most part! Spork was most delighted when we discovered that there were a few red raspberries to be had. We only had enough for one pint, which he desperately wanted to claim for himself. He said he was...Straw...

Mom, are you watching me? Saturday, May 30, 2015. Bike to school week 2015. Tidbits from the Nugget:. Out of the blue) "I haven't been on very many simulators.". Me: We have a new Netflix show that I think you will like. Nugget: Is it (Bill Nye the Science Guy) non-fiction? Tater was originally posing for this shot spread-eagle cheerleader style but since Dora panties are not appropriate blog fodder, I requested that she cross her ankles. Spork daintily demonstrated. Mom, are you watching me? Sunday, April 12, 2015. We have been staying home the past few Easters and really love it! For the second year in a row, Grammy and Grandpa AND Grandma and Papa came to visit, making it a very special holiday for the children. No worries though, I returned before the children got out the confetti, sequins, glue, hair dryer, and shrink wrap. And now they are gold dollars! It was such a gorgeous day, we finished it off with a trip to the zoo and playground before coming home for d...

Mom, are you watching me? Saturday, June 27, 2015. Tater burped, and Spork responded, "Oh, that's classy! When trying to dissuade Spork to drink water from the local splashpad, I calmly explained, "Little kids sometimes pee in the splashpad, then the water goes down the drain and into pipes and shoots back up for you to play in.so you shouldn't drink it." He soaked in the information, then a grin grew over his face and he replied, "So I can pee in the fountain? Not the takeaway message here, Spork! He sh...

Mom, are you watching me? Thursday, August 14, 2014. Back to School 2014. The children fought tooth and claw over a used Brita filter last week. This mama is counting down the days until school starts. Tuesday, August 12, 2014. So dear cousin Cabbage (the Nugget's birthday buddy) turned 4, and since they moved back to the Midwest, we were able to road trip it out to celebrate with her! Mom, are you watching me? Monday, July 6, 2015. How can you be four already? I barely got to know the squishy baby you were, then all of a sudden you were a toddler, then here you are! Four and proud of it, shell-shocked mama and all. Top 10 Challenges of Spork at 4. 10 Questions, a lot of 'em. They say the average four year old asks about 400 questions a day. You are anything but average. You ask about 400 questions on a single errand. "Where we goin'? When we comin' back? What we havin' for lunch?
