crenimugil-labrosus: March 2013
http://labrosus.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html
Thursday, 14 March 2013. What's Got 32 Wheels? A session at XC today that's what! Decided to try and stick to the 8 all day, started off on the new Veteran Typhoon (left). Wheelbase is shorter as is the tail, the combination of these counteract each other and it actually skates better than I expected for a short deck with a short wheelbase. Had a few slams when I switched back to the 4 wheeler. Missed the drop in at the start and no hand plants in this run…. Links to this post. Tuesday, 12 March 2013.

crenimugil-labrosus: September 2013
http://labrosus.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
Monday, 30 September 2013. It was that time of year again when a couple of hundred people descend on Bath to skate to Bristol in aid of charity for Macmillan Cancer Care, apparently this was the 7th year and my 3rd after a break of about 4 years or so. It's The Bristol Board Meeting so business attire is encouraged, I picked up a nice M&S worsted suit in a BHF charity shop for £8, Jill converted the trousers into shorts for me. After a few photos it was time to hit the Bath-Bristol Railway Path. After a ...

crenimugil-labrosus: Pads? What Pads?
http://labrosus.blogspot.com/2013/10/pads-what-pads.html
Monday, 14 October 2013. Ordered these last week via Amazon after having a look at Ricardo's, Destroyer P Series…. Wasn't sure which colour to go for but Mrs B said that the Camo ones really stood out, I pointed out that they weren't supposed to. Arrived today, not bad, 1 week door to door, $84 including shipping and pre-collected tax. Perforated neoprene straps…. Comfy 'egg box' memory foam padding. Fit good, I went for a smaller size on recommendation from Ricardo and other reviews. Seeing as Megauploa...

crenimugil-labrosus: Gecko Grip
http://labrosus.blogspot.com/2015/08/gecko-grip.html
Saturday, 8 August 2015. Griptaped the Gecko this evening. Left a diagonal strip in the middle ungripped to show off the carbon and save a bit of weight. This puts the weight of the ungripped deck into perspective, the deck only weighs 4.6 x the weight of the grip tape. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). What's this blog thing then? That's a good question. I'm not really sure where this is going to go. Blogs wot I like. Mullet sporting, crap skating, photosnapping Kook. View my complete profile.

crenimugil-labrosus: May 2013
http://labrosus.blogspot.com/2013_05_01_archive.html
Sunday, 26 May 2013. Well it's been a while, been busy skating, 6 skateable weekends in a row and today we went to Bowlworth to Ricardos bowl. A beautiful sunny morning. I arrived as Trev and Paul were walking from the car park and wee were soon joined by Ric to unlock and let us in. Didn't seem to bother Trev. Who left for Shoreham shortly after Gra arrived. Trev had a new board with him…. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). What's this blog thing then? That's a good question. Seeing as Mega...

crenimugil-labrosus: Strokers
http://labrosus.blogspot.com/2015/03/strokers.html
Tuesday, 10 March 2015. Boom, the return of the blog! Here's some things that happened. Back in August Trev bought along a little rocker deck set up with bottle green Kryptonics and Stroker trucks. Made by Ermico they were a predecessor of Indy trucks. Crazy things that turn by the way of pivots and rose joints. Steer more like a car than a skateboard. On the tiny rocker deck with its short wheelbase it almost turned in its own length. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). What's this blog thing then?

crenimugil-labrosus: Gecko
http://labrosus.blogspot.com/2015/08/gecko.html
Thursday, 6 August 2015. Successfully bid (long story) and won this beauty on eBay, it turned up yesterday. A Gecko Decks Martin Drayton Slalom deck. Superfluous stickers removed and old dirty grip tape removed too. Carbon Fibre loveliness, built in de-wedge for the rear truck. Before grip tape removal (took a couple of hours to get old glue residue off). Afterwards, check out that carbon. Hope the grip tape doesn't weigh too much. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). What's this blog thing then? Ukelele ...

crenimugil-labrosus: Skandalous?
http://labrosus.blogspot.com/2015/03/skandalous.html
Thursday, 12 March 2015. Some more trucks arrived at work today. A Bennett and a Randal. Both have been narrowed to 110mm. Not sure if these are the Sk8Kings modded Skennett and Skandal. The Bennett came with Reflex bushings and the Randal has the 35° baseplate, this will need less de-wedging to get the desired angle on the back. Might set these up on the Skaterbuilt Mike Maysey hybrid. Although I had contemplated getting a Tracker RT-S RT-X combo for that. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Goodwood Fe...
