Thursday, January 31, 2013. I'm starting to prep for my son's first birthday party in April! I have a pretty long list of crafts I would like to accomplish - not sure I will get to them all, but I will sure try. I took a nice big trip to Hobby Lobby this morning (and thanks to the Hobby Lobby iPhone App, I got some good deals) and stocked up on supplies. Next put on a movie and start sticking the balloons into the wreath using the floral pins. You should quickly get a grasp of how close together you ...

Peach Stitches: May 2014
http://peachstitches.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html
Friday, May 2, 2014. Can you believe it? I have finished all the projects that were started and sort of sitting in my craft area just waiting! The next few posts will be covering those - probably not in much detail since my goal is to get the posts done before this baby comes. The purple and blue quilt is done! I can't even remember what the pattern name or fabric line is - I'll have to do some digging. It's an oversized lap quilt. And I'm obsessed with the backing fabric. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Friday, March 29, 2013. Pinterest Paintings for Nautical Birthday. I've had an itch to do some painting lately. Painting is on the far end of my creativity spectrum. I don't dabble in it enough because I'm not very confident about it, but I always have the best time when I get my brushes out. I painted the back yard signs and knew I needed to do a bit more painting. Nautical Birthday Party Prep Madness. For party favors, I turned to Oriental Trading - buckets, stuffed fish, and bubbles. I found some ...

Peach Stitches: May 2013

Friday, May 31, 2013. I am part of two summer quiet book page swaps. The idea is simple, we each picked two pages and will make 12 copies of the page. At the end we will have 24 pages and bind our own book. I was a little overwhelmed by the task, but making more than one of each page means you are able to make corrections as you learn your page. The group made a board on Pinterest to collect quiet book page ideas. This was a great way to find ideas to inspire our pages. Here are previews of my pages:.

Sunday, April 19, 2015. Gifts for Cancer Patients. My sweet mother in law was diagnosed this winter with breast cancer. With the help of my adorable sister-in-law we came up with a few ideas and put together a nice care package for her. Mastectomy and Port Pillow. I also took two charm squares and some velcro I had laying around and made a port pillow. This l...

Sunday, March 22, 2015. We are headed to Disney later this year so the crazy crafting has started. Back of easy tie blanket. Today my toddler found some Mickey and Pooh fleece he just loved - so we grabbed a yard of each and threw together some tie blankets. He has been super excited about learning to use scissors so I let him cut a few of the strips too. We had fun and now have two small (read perfect for travel) Mickey/Pooh blankets. I have no idea how these will hold up, but my kids are toddlers so I ...
