Theology Shock: Do You Want to Be Healed?
http://theologyshock.blogspot.com/2007/05/do-you-want-to-be-healed.html
Chronicles of an Everyday Pastor! Wednesday, May 23, 2007. Do You Want to Be Healed? I spoke to our youth about John Chapter 5. In this section we see that Jesus comes into a room full of crippled people. He picks one one from the crowd and asks. A question to him that I find very strange. He says in verse 6 "Do you want to be healed? What person in their right mind would not want to be healed? I think back to all the times that people have promised me this or that, then they don't deliver. I often begin...

anything genuine: February Newsletter
http://anythinggenuine.blogspot.com/2010/02/february-newsletter.html
Wednesday, February 10, 2010. Revised from a previous article for the February 2010 FSBC Newsletter. 8221; Part of that answer deals with Ephesians 5: “One of the most beautiful analogies God uses to define His relationship with us is that of a marriage. To grasp this is both inspirational and sobering. People should be able to look at our marriages and say. ‘So that’s what the church is like? That’s what it means to have a relationship with Jesus? Theology Shock: September 2010
http://theologyshock.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Chronicles of an Everyday Pastor! Tuesday, September 14, 2010. Filling the Gospel Gaps. Our Wednesday Night Bible study have been on Unity in the church, I found the section on Encouragement both convicting and helpful. Here is the section on " Gospel Gaps. Why do things happen? What’s worth living for? And though we usually know what the right answers are to those questions, we are easily deceived and easily taken captive through philosophies that are human and worldly rather than infused with the gospel.

Monday, February 15, 2010. When it came time to put it the big picture together, we were almost lost! How could such a talented and skilled conductor lead us to a place where we were so uncertain about what we were performing? How could all the singers feel like we really hadn’t made any progress? Starting from this kind of ideal, should we really be surprised at the epidemic of divorce we are dealing with as a society? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). What is Anything Genuine? Tuesday, May 12, 2009. 8216;For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found.’ And they began to celebrate. 8211; Allen Ross, Recalling the Hope of Glory. Celebration is an idea that many have a hard time associating with Christian worship, including myslef. Tuesday, December 15, 2009. Worship Is Spiritual Warfare. Originally given at First Southern Baptist Church, Floyds Knobs, Indiana, on July 19, 2009. Saturday, December 12, 2009. As the Christmas season rapidly approaches, we are reminded all around us of the spirit of the season, and we often hear the timeless proverb, “It is better to give than to receive.”. I have a friend who, every year, feels it is her responsibility to remind the entire world not to forget about Thanksgiving. These wise men were n...

anything genuine: I Then Shall Live
http://anythinggenuine.blogspot.com/2010/01/i-then-shall-live.html
Monday, January 04, 2010. I Then Shall Live. I then shall live as one who's been forgiven. I'll walk with joy to know my debts are paid. I know my name is clear before my Father;. I am His child and I am not afraid. So greatly pardoned, I'll forgive my brother. The law of love I gladly will obey. I then shall live as one who's learned compassion. I've been so loved I'll risk loving, too. I know how fear builds walls instead of bridges;. I'll dare to see another's point of view. What is Anything Genuine?
