Tales of a Babbling Spoon: June 2014

http://babblingspoon.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html

Wednesday, June 11, 2014. Chicken and Broccoli Stir Fry. W hen it comes to food, golden brown is my favorite color. Spring rolls , french fries, chips, bread, fried chicken, roast, pies, cookies are just few foods the come with this color. This month, I make sure to add more hues into my plate. You know what? Colors come with flavours. Duh! I'm one happy loser! The best part is, I never really feel like I'm on ' Diet' . Oh I hate that word! 350 g Chicken, boneless, skinless, cut into strips or cubed.

Tales of a Babbling Spoon: May 2015

http://babblingspoon.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html

Saturday, May 23, 2015. Bewitching Bali Day 8. Every bit as flashy and as fancy as any picture on a travel magazines. One look at Viceroy's Lembah Spa photo is all that it took to convince me to go to Bali. Yup, sometimes a sheer photograph is all one needs to pack a bag , travel and cross a continent. The impeccably designed infinity pool , along with the view of the luscious valley. Is a surprisingly small resort with big 5 stars written all over it. It was buttery and literally melts in the mouth.

Tales of a Babbling Spoon: Bewitching Bali Day 7

http://babblingspoon.blogspot.com/2015/05/bewitching-bali-day-7.html

Wednesday, May 6, 2015. Bewitching Bali Day 7. Breakfast is said to be the most important meal of the day. Luckily, Komaneka offers quite a spread to fuel up a body . This is just a sample of the smorgasbord of foods that awaits a guest every morning. Considering what's in store for us today, we almost licked the plates clean til last crumb of calorie. Juli picked us up again this morning and drove us around. First , we travelled to Tegalalang rice terraces. Walk beside rice paddies. The steps in Gunung ...

Tales of a Babbling Spoon: September 2014

http://babblingspoon.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html

Thursday, September 11, 2014. Sights and Eats: Langkawi day 4. We woke up at the sound of leaves rustling, branches shaking , some distant chirping and screeching . Having a hotel at the edge of a forest, it is not surprising to get curious visitors peeking through your bedroom window. We went out to the balcony and was greeted by the sights of cute furry and big beaked creatures. What a nice way to start a day! Lunch was at The Loaf Bakery and Restaurant again, this time , inside Cenang mall. We went to...

Tales of a Babbling Spoon: February 2015

http://babblingspoon.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html

Saturday, February 28, 2015. Oven baked Tandoori chicken. I'm still feeling amiable and socialible ( more than usual, I mean) from the yuletide season and the countless celebrations with family and friends that came naturally with it. So to keep the spirits high, I invited FF's family over for lunch . T like.or not. I made some Indian fish curry. Using some spices I bought in Malaysia and this oven baked tandoori chicken. The smell of my kitchen was heavenly! 2 tsp turmeric powder. 1 tsp coriander powder.

The Stereotype

August 29, 2015. Wish me luck. I will need it,. August 23, 2015. August 23, 2015. Okay so I am pretty sure that all of you know Starbucks. You probably live in a five mile radius of not only one but two. Well, I am about to educate you on something. The first Starbucks ever. I was born and raised in this coffee driven state. I deserve to be proud of the things produced in this place. Just like Chicagonians can be proud of deep dish pizza. I don’t want to be. Smells Like Teen Spirit. Not ring any bells?

Babbling.......

Friday, August 19, 2011. Jiu jitsu, first week of school, BBQ sauce. Cole recently signed up for Jiu Jitsu and finished his second class tonight. Here are things I've learned after observing parts of 2 classes and living with Cole for a week after his first class:. Jiu jitsu is pretty cool. The bathrobe looking thing they wear is called a gi. Boys love to punch, kick, and wrestle. A punch in the stomach hurts, even if it's from a 9 year old. This 1-2 combination was more than I could handle in more ways ...

Babblings of Brent | I'm a student of life. Find my observations here.

I'm a student of life. Find my observations here. Giving “your best”. Posted by Brent Gerber in Uncategorized. I got an email from a friend last week that was related to a tribute I had written at the death of a mutual friend of ours. He had published the tribute and thanked me for my cooperation. At the end of the email, he closed by saying, “take the best care of yourself! I’m pretty sure that nobody has ever said that to me. They’ve said, “take care! Can anything be better than the best? As we scrambl...

Babblings of a Self-Appointed Literary Genius

Babblings of a Self-Appointed Literary Genius. Please leave your comments: I love a good debate! Saturday, April 17, 2010. Turning the (digital) Page. So one of the original reasons I started this blog was to be able to rant, guilt-free, about my in-laws without hurting my husband's feelings.and it worked really well for me for quite some time! I still hope to be as entertaining as heck, still very "Crystal-esque", so join me in book marking my new blog:. Inside the Mind.of Crystal". Okay, so with the qu...

Thursday, December 21, 2017. Oven baked Garlic Chicken and Shenanigans. I feel so guilty, I am so caught up with. My daily life routines and chores ( rolls eyes) that I completely forgot I have a blog to attend to. Anyway, I want to share a recipe that my good friend Nancy found on the Internet. I love one pot dishes, having a beautiful cast iron skillet allows me cook, bake and serve the this dish in no time. From the pan to the table! 1 tbsp. olive oil. 1 tbsp. butter. Whole head ( large) garlic, peeled.

Reflective Recollections;

Stop being a perfectionist. September 2, 2014. The fact that you’re so unhappy all the time is simply because you’re a perfectionist. Because you want everything to be perfect, and you want everything to go your way. You want to be in complete control of everything and anything. Because of this you get tired and frustrated. Then you express your anger by throwing a fit and finding all kinds of reason to raise your voice and show your displeasure. The list the wall needs. September 1, 2014. 2 “Don&#...

babbling thoughts | There's no such thing as too many books

There's no such thing as too many books. 8216;Mary Hades’ by Sarah Dalton. Not many seventeen year old girls have a best friend who’s a ghost, but then Mary Hades isn’t your average teenager. Scarred physically and mentally from a fire, her parents decide a holiday to an idyllic village in North Yorkshire will help her recover. Nestled in the middle of five moors, Mary expects to have a boring week stuck in a caravan with her parents. Little does she know, evil lurks in the campsite. This book is about a...
