Brownie Bites: Fun Days in May (and it's only half way done)
http://brownology.blogspot.com/2015/05/fun-days-in-may-and-its-only-half-way.html
Story of the Brown Stallion. Tuesday, May 12, 2015. Fun Days in May (and it's only half way done). Last Saturday, I looked out my window and saw children running toward my yard and soon enough the back yard looked like this. I hadn't seen this much fun happening since some of our old friends moved away to Idaho about 2 years ago. And sure enough, the Bradshaws had come to visit! I think these two girls were the most excited to see each other. Millie still hasn't found a friend as dear as Shelby. From the...

Brownie Bites: May 2015
http://brownology.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Story of the Brown Stallion. Sunday, May 31, 2015. Hash turned FIVE years old! This is a big deal because its his first birthday party with friends. He talked and talked about it for a month before his birthday. He switched from Legos to cars to superheros to monsters to candy. Yes, just a candy themed party. He finally settled on superheros (with a little prodding from me). All the superheros had a great time, especially my favorite little superhero, Hashbrown. He was smiling the whole time. Looking bac...

Brownie Bites: Ward talent show
http://brownology.blogspot.com/2013/05/ward-talent-show.html
Story of the Brown Stallion. Saturday, May 11, 2013. The last part of April our ward had a talent show. I just can't hold back sometimes when it comes to talent shows. And sometimes, the best ideas don't always turn out on the stage the same way I see it in my head. Thus, the videos will stay protected on the family youtube channel until I can laugh and not hide in embarrassment. However, Sydney was a shining star with her school jumpteam. I will show her video. Now on to my couple of numbers. Here we ar...

Brownie Bites: February 2015
http://brownology.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Story of the Brown Stallion. Thursday, February 19, 2015. The girls and I had fun decorating. We made a dragon! All in all, it was a great dinner. It was fun for me to pull out the dishes and unpack all the memories that came with them. Those sure were unforgettable times, living in China, seeing parts of this beautiful world that I may never be able to return to, and all that I learned about life, relationships, working with people. And only one plate got broken. Links to this post. On Being a Mom.

Brownie Bites: Notes
http://brownology.blogspot.com/2015/04/notes.html
Story of the Brown Stallion. Thursday, April 16, 2015. Notes and letters are quickly becoming part of our family identity. Here are a few of the more recent ones. I also often find letters from my children on my bed. Often they come because they know I've had a rough day and they just want to cheer me up. Sometimes they are letters of apology. This one is from Parker. It was a letter of the second sort. :). It kind of makes up for days when bedrooms look like this. And have looked like this for weeks.

Story of the Brown Stallion. Friday, April 17, 2015. So Steampunk. Have you heard of it? It's kind of new to me. Wikipedia defines it this way:. Refers to a subgenre of science fiction and sometimes fantasy—also in recent years a fashion and lifestyle movement—that incorporates technology and aesthetic designs inspired by 19th-century industrial steam-powered machinery. Then today he comes out dressed like this:. He's a Ninja (old school). With body armor and 3-D glasses (new school tech). On Being a Mom.

Brownie Bites: Book Review: Hurricane Coltrane
http://brownology.blogspot.com/2015/05/book-review-hurricane-coltrane.html
Story of the Brown Stallion. Saturday, May 9, 2015. Book Review: Hurricane Coltrane. I just finished reading a book written by a fantastic debut author, Taya Okerlund. Taya was in my critique group last year at WIFYR. I remember getting her chapters for critique and thinking, "Wow! I read it through twice with no critiques because the writing was so lovely. When I found out she was under contract for the book, I wasn't surprised. It's been a long wait for me to get my hands on this book. Merrill sets Rob...

Story of the Brown Stallion. Thursday, January 22, 2015. This is the face Bryce uses when he's being a "bad guy! Sometimes he balls his hands into tight fists, makes a mechanical sound with his mouth and then slowly opens his fingers like sharp claws. It's adorable. Here's more of him being just adorable! Links to this post. This one's about: Bryce. Saturday, January 17, 2015. Ski Day for Scouts. Parker was all smiles though. Links to this post. This one's about: Parker. Thursday, January 1, 2015.
