Thursday, September 4, 2014. Second Ultrasound- 7 weeks. At seven weeks we saw the doctor again and got to see our little bear on the big screen. Again we saw a little heart flicker and baby had grown a little bit. What I experienced at 7 weeks:. Not so many cravings anymore. Frequent trips to the bathroom at all hours of the day. Monday, August 18, 2014. After so many years of negative tests, this test didn't seem real. I could not believe that it was actually positive- and because of this, I took another one, and another one, and another one! After four tests I finally believed the test enough to call the doctor and get a blood test done. Even then, we did two of those just to be on the safe side. So here it is. Thursday, September 4, 2014. First Ultrasound- 6 Weeks. We had our first ultrasound at 6 weeks. We saw this little bear's heart flicker and it measured a smaller than a centimeter. What I experienced at 6 weeks:. I wanted all things salty and cheesy. Really hard to sleep. Every morning I would wake up in complete awe and gratitude that this was finally happening. Monday, August 18, 2014. After so many years of negative tests, this test didn't seem real. The actual recital was a bit of a blur. I got to hang out with Callie and her friends back stage for a little while before the performance. Monday, September 29, 2014. I was in shock. No one had mentioned this to me before. Not one of his surgeons had prepped me for this. I didn't believe it. I felt like we were back at square one. So discouraged. I didn't know what to say so I think I responded "I got something in my eye". All those yucky feelings of regret and guilt were creeping back in. They had "time trials" on Wednesday and I was so impressed with Mason's swimming. He looked like he was really trying and pushing himself. Today was insane! 5am Baby April woke up and I nursed her. 5:30am I went to the gym. 9am I dropped Mason off at swim Team. 9:30am took Callie to dance rehearsal. 10am dropped Noah off at swim team and picked Mason up. 10:15am took Mason to Music Theory. 10:30am picked Callie up from Dance. Tuesday, July 7, 2015. Family Reunion in Colorado. It was good to take a break from real life and hang with family. I wish we would have paid to stay another night. There just wasn't really any way of knowing how fabulous little April was going to be. So fun to have Grandma and Grandpa Hopkins there too! Sleeping arrangements were too funny. Sunday, August 31, 2014. Callie's week of FIRST's. Callie had a big week. First dental check-up and first hair-cut. All dressed up. She came straight from a tea party at Grandma Faler's house.
