Monday, February 28, 2011. A very happy and healthy 38 weeks! This week starts our 38th week of pregnancy! Within the next few days or couple of weeks, we will be bringing home our baby girl. How baby is doing this week:. Your baby has really plumped up. She weighs about 6.8 pounds and she's over 19 1/2 inches long (. March 1st, 2011. 1 My blood pressure was 111/62 (very healthy and normal) with a pulse of approximately 82. 2 My urine was negative for protein and sugar. 3 My weight is very steady and has not changed much; I have gained one pound since our 36 week appointment. 4 Dilated 1 centimeter/ effaced very little/ not dropped very much. I pushed for about 15 minutes or so, or for a just a few pushes, maybe 5 or 6, and since I was such a good pusher, this little baby girl with all of her dark wet curly hair came right out. Wednesday, March 2, 2011. A very active baby Lourdes! This morning, after taking a warm bath and eating some oatmeal, baby Lourdes has become quite the show-off; I cannot believe how strong her movements are and how visible they are. Just laying on the couch early this morning, she has been SO incredibly active and I have seen what appears to be knees, feet and a leg coming really high out from my belly! This week I have been having contractions, not regular ones yet, but getting closer together at times (causing me to think I am getting to close to labor) but not getting stronger and then just fizzling out. I have also had some of what they call "bloody show," just my cervix beginning to change and this morning, just a few minutes ago, I officially lost my "mucous plug!
