Baking powder: for each teaspoon of baking powder use; 1/4 teaspoon baking soda plus 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar, or 1/4 teaspoon baking soda plus 1/2 cup buttermilk (decrease liquid in recipe by 1/2 cup). Butter (unsalted): need 1 cup, use 1 cup shortening. Or 7/8 cup vegetable oil or 7/8 cups lard. Fats for baking: need 1 cup, use 1 cup applesauce. Or 1 cup fruit puree.

Saturday, May 15, 2010. Our Little Girl Has Arrived. Born: April 10, 2010 at 8:11 pm. 7lbs 6oz.21 in. We are so happy our little girl has finally arrived. The labor went really well. I was so blessed to have a quick and safe delivery. On Saturday April 10th I started having contractions around 1:00 pm We headed to the hospital at 3:30 pm and I was already dialated to a 7. At 8:11 pm we welcomed our baby girl into our family. We are so blessed! These sweet pictures make me cry! Sat May 15, 10:34:00 PM.
