http://hoyalhappenings.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Wednesday, February 11, 2015. We are studying China, and I wanted the kids to have a "being there" experience. We have a pass to the Huntington Library, and they have a beautiful Chinese Garden, so I packed up a few Chinese picture books, some art materials, picked up Grandma, and we were off for a relaxing afternoon at the Huntington. We get there, and it is closed onTuesdays! And decided it was worth a try! I love unexpected adventures like this! We were excited to see this exhibit dedicated to Temples...

Wednesday, July 22, 2015. I haven't posted for over a month! A lot has happened. We decided to put our house up for sale! Aside from that, here are a couple other things we've been up to:. Tanner went to scout camp for the first time! He had a great time! I sent him with food for the week and he felt great all week! His scout leader texted me this picture while he was up there. Apparently he was not afraid to let his true goofball side shine while at camp! Went to the zoo with Grandma. For Tanner's birth...

http://hoyalhappenings.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Tuesday, January 20, 2015. We took our annual Hoyal girls trip! It was a quick trip, but so much fun. It is nice to be able to talk without getting interrupted by kids for a few days! We ate, got nails done, shopped, ate some more, and saw Blue Man Group. Can't wait til next year…. The show was seriously so funny. It reminded me of things my crazy high school friends would do. Can't wait til next year…. Sunday, January 18, 2015. Thursday, January 15, 2015. And a veggie tray. The younger kids made Brazili...

Hoyal Happenings: November 2014
http://hoyalhappenings.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Monday, November 24, 2014. The World Report: The Philippines Edition. We have been learning about the Philippines! I bought a coconut and talked about how important coconuts are for these islanders. The boys tried it, but didn't like it as much as I do! We met with our school group and had a Filipino lady come and speak to us. It was fun hearing about her culture shocks when she moved to the US as a child. She was so nice to make us a full Filipino meal, it was delicious! What a Fun Filipino Friday!

Hoyal Happenings: A Four Year Old in the House!
http://hoyalhappenings.blogspot.com/2015/06/a-four-year-old-in-house.html
Wednesday, June 17, 2015. A Four Year Old in the House! Charity turned 4 last week! We kept the celebrations simple and fun! Invite cousins over to swim at Grandmas and bring cake and ice cream! Charity wanted a Belle cake, which is weird because she had never even seen Beauty and the Beast, nor does she particularly like the color yellow, but that's what she got! She felt like a real princess! Another amazing talent of my Mom's: cake making! Cute, wet cousins! I hope all her wishes come true. Grandma lo...

Sunday, September 21, 2014. We have been learning about Australia, New Zealand, Samoa, and all of Oceania. Aquarium of the Pacific. We spent a day at the Aquarium of the Pacific to get to know the Pacific Oceans inhabitants a little better. They were having a homeschool day for a discounted price- $6 per ticket versus $26! I love it when deals like that happen when it is at a place that goes along with what we are studying! Charity was in heaven at the little outside play area. Sienna doing poi balls.

Saturday, June 20, 2015. We knew at the beginning of the gymnastics season that Nationals was going to be in Las Vegas, since it was so close and Ladd's parents have a house there, we decided we would go. We signed up and were all excited to see Tanner compete. About 2 weeks before, we found out the boys competition was moved to Sunday! We still decided to make a little vacation since Ladd already had the time off from work. We don't do the Strip at Vegas- too vulgar! We all got a kick out of the technol...

Hoyal Happenings: March 2015
http://hoyalhappenings.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Saturday, March 28, 2015. Mid Summer's Night Dream. Tanner performed in his second Shakespeare production yesterday, A Mid Summer's Night Dream. He loved his part and loved the play. Grandpa Hoyal said Tanner watches too much Studio C and that is why he is such a comedic actor! All the kids did an excellent job! The play was hilarious and the whole audience was laughing throughout, even with the Shakespearean language. Tanner Hoyal as…. Bottom and Peter Quince. The mechanicals play, which was hilarious!
