Sunday, May 16, 2010. So I've been in Venezuela for nearly two weeks now. I've pretty much settled into a routine, but the first few days were quite an adjustment. First off, my plane left from Houston at midnight, and I had about a 5-hour flight from there to Caracas, Venezuela. Luckily the flight wasn't full and I could stretch out and lay down. Tuesday, March 2, 2010. So I am now in my 21st week in pregnancy. I can't believe time has flown by so quickly! I started feeling the baby move about 4 weeks ago, but he's been moving more and more lately. It's not consistent or hard enough for anyone else to feel it yet, but I'm sure it will be soon. Wednesday, June 2, 2010. So, yesterday on our way to see the midwife, Andrew and I were answering Emily's 20 questions about where we were going. "Go see Papa? No "Go see Zoe? No "Kari Lilly". no. We're going to go hear the baby. "Go hear baby? On a side note, we did meet with the midwife, and everything is still going well. Tuesday, July 13, 2010. Andrew's mom was on call to help with Emily during the labor, but since things were still so slow, we decided to wait to have her come over. I had been waiting to get in the pool until I was sure my labor was far enough along because I didn't want to slow it down. My contractions had gotten pretty strong though, and as soon as I got in the pool, I felt better. It was easier to relax and let myself open up. Ruth, Deena, and Brandy had to leave from our birth to attend another one!

This has also been a busy month.I guess it's just that time of the year. We are all doing great! The Sunday after Thanksgiving, Harsha's mom went back to Sri Lanka. So, now it is just me, Amaya and Bella. We put up the Christmas tree and put some lights in our room for Amaya to gaze at. She will sit and stare and the bright lights for hours if I let her. Wow, our little Amaya is almost two months old! I can't believe it.time flies by so fast. Now I know exactly what people are talking about when they tell me this. We also bought our cloth diaper stash and have been using them exclusively for about a month. It really is quite easy and well worth the amount of money that we will save in buying disposable diapers. Plus, they are cute too! Here is a summary of Amaya's. Birth (what an awesome couple of days! 183; Started having contractions about 5AM. 183; Went in at 8:00AM after having contractions that were about 4 minutes apart. I think they started on their own because the doctor stripped my membranes the day before. 183; Was admitted to the hospital and placed in a L&D room. Was dilated at 5 cm and labored until 12PM when the doctor came in and broke my water. Was 7 cm at that time (4 hours later). So that I could get help dilating.

She wanted to surprise us and come to Amaya's party. LOVED IT! I am always happy to see her and miss her so much. We had a great time together and she helped me get ready for the party and was an awesome photographer! Just them coming really meant a lot to us but I think Amaya is set for quite a while in the toy and clothes department!
