A few days ago we got a call from a local farmer asking if we would like to have a pig that had gotten trampled by some of her bigger pigs. She simply did not have to time to rehab a pig, so asked if one of our kids needed a winter project. Emily readily agreed. He squeals and backs away when Emily reaches out to pet him, so they are in need of some bonding time. Heart of the Hartman's.

Today at school the kids were supposed to have Grandparents Day. Bob's dad was set to come out for it, then it started to snow. School was closed, Bob's dad turned around to head home instead of try to drive through snow, and the kids headed outside. Before the ground was even covered in snow, the kids had the sleds going!

This year the Shareks and Mike's boys joined in on the fun. The plan was for them to sleep in the cabin but that didn't happen, but they certainly did a lot of hunting. This will be Max's first year to be a part of it (doesn't he look excited? He's been practicing hard at sitting still in his chair! This past Sunday was a beautiful day here in Danville.50 degrees and endless sunshine. Bob decided to plant the lettuce and spinach in the cold frame. My mouth waters at the thought of some fresh summer time food! And on this last day of March, this is what the cold frame looked like. One of these days, spring will come. It always does!
