Esteban has 3 syllables (es-TAY-bon) and the accent is on the second syllable. Think of how you say the name Steven - the English equivalent of Esteban. Usually you pronounce the name Steven with the accent on the first syllable (STEE-ven). Now translate that emphasis to Esteban, and you'll be reasonably close. We're in room 7).

Our adventures while adopting our daughter Isabella Grace from Colombia. Saturday, November 20, 2010. The day after Sentencia: Passport, Doctor, Embassy, CRAN, Party! Thursday was a LONG day! Helena picked us (Isabella, Esteban, Grandma Dawn and I) at 7:30am! We were off to the Passport Office early, early, early. To be ready meant that we had to all get up when Isabella woke at 5:30! The doctor pronounced all well and gave us a sealed envelope to give to the Embassy. All this happened before 10:30am!

Tickets in hand, we went directly to the Colombian Consulate in downtown Boston to see if we could apply for our visas right then, or at least make an appointment to come back. Fridays are quite busy at the consulate, so we made an appointment with the vice consul to come back today at 11am. The one thing we had to figure out was how to get a document apostilled. 6 days and counting. We have a Gotcha Day!
