A Fly On The Wall. Monday, May 21, 2012. Hope is bigger than fear. Pete and I drove to St. Joseph's hospital for a surgery that I believe was supposed to be at 1 in the afternoon. I was having a lymph node removed with a "possible thyroidectomy" for a growth that the doctor assured me was not cancer. As I was being wheeled into the OR, the doctor joked and showed me the cd he was going to play even though he usually reserves it for nose surgeries.it was labeled "Booger Tunes". Did you take my thyroid.

Saturday, July 31, 2010. George, Jeff, Rose, and Abe. When Landon walked up to get a better view of the carving, he said "Hi George! How're you doing Rose? Nice to see you Abe". Loved that my kid is on a first name or nickname basis with the big guys on the mountain. Not long after I took this picture of him studying Mt. Rushmore, Landon turned to me and said "It's really just beautiful, isn't it? Yeah kid, it is. Notice the climbers at the top. We watched them climb for a while which was very cool.

At this moment I really felt like this was more than just a stomach flu but didn't give "labor" any more thought because all I could think was "This SUCKED"! I was able to get myself dried off and that was all I had the energy for. Again when I was in labor I had planned on wearing my black sports bra and black shorts but in the moment, screw clothes, and screw modesty!
