For those of you who have moved away from home to a completely new place with brand new challenges you can appreciate how nice it is to make a trip back home soon after the move. Such an occasion arose a few weeks ago, for a Lucas-Kappel celebration. The occasion of course was to celebrate Matthew and his new wife, Sharon, who went and got hitched last fall, and with the size of our growing family you can bet there were more babies to meet!

Amber in the Windy City: Soap Box--Go literacy
http://amberinthewindycity.blogspot.com/2009/10/soap-box-go-literacy.html
Amber in the Windy City. Wednesday, October 14, 2009. Soap Box- Go literacy. I wrote this essay on the idea of getting children to read. I thought the juxtaposition of these two articles is very interesting. I also found it interesting in the study how it points out that people do learn from different media such as TV, or gaming in this case, but then continues to emphasize the importance of reading because through print one is exposed to more vocabulary then spoken word. Or in more stark terms, you can ...

And the answer would be 'yes! We went to the famous Giordano's. So cheesy and so much sauce, of course it will never replace my beloved thin crust extra sauce. Pizza from Cincinnati's LaRosa's!
