Sunday, April 5, 2015. I made baby penguin a simple pillowcase dress for her first Easter. I haven't had time to make her a dress since then. But this year I had an afternoon, an easy pattern, and some fabric in my stash. So I made her a dress! She was super excited when I showed it to her and told me how much she liked it! I messed up the arm holes and had trouble with turning the hem to make a casing for the elastic. But now that I know what I did wrong, I'm anxious to try again!

Thursday, January 30, 2014. We survived snowpocalypse 14! That was my car this morning. The doors were completely frozen shut. Managed to get the drivers side door open. Then ha to climb into the back and force open the sliding doors with my shoulder. We survived snowpocalypse 2014. I would like my sunshine and high temps back now please. All roads are finally back open, many with a new coat of sand (because the city doesn't have salt). Crazy And oh man the idiots today on the road. No nap again today.

Wednesday, April 15, 2015. My dad is always threatening to cut baby penguin's hair as it is always falling into her face. She refuses to have her hair in a pony tail. So today we tried an Elsa braid. It worked for most of the morning. Then she wanted it out. But convinced her at gymnastics to have Anna braids (Frozen characters). 2 hours later and they are still in!
