Sommer Egon von Neindorff. Horze Grand Prix Breeches. Mrs Conn’s Bath Sponges. Hunter Original Rain Boots. August 14, 2015. Is it just me, or did this week. I managed to get out and ride The G three times, make plans for a couple of shows, and get a whole, whole bunch of stuff done at work (which is always a good feeling). I even Swiffered my kitchen, which is like, a huge accomplishment. Here’s what’s on my radar this week! 3 Secrets to Thinking Like a Champion. Centaur Fox A/P Pad. Was spot-on and addr...

Hopeful Jumpers: May 2015
http://jessandprinceofthieves.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
May 28, 2015. Hero and I had a lesson with the new trainer today (our original Trainer A is having some serious health issues so I'm not sure when he will be back to teaching, sad Jess). That is part of what I love most about Hero. once you teach him something he's quite happy to go with it. Breaking up text with cute photo). Finally we started working on Hero's first bounce. We started off with the second jump being a pole, then up to a cross rail, then a vertical. I expected Hero to not do the ...My tr...

Hopeful Jumpers: Hanging Out With The Boys
http://jessandprinceofthieves.blogspot.com/2015/08/hanging-out-with-boys.html
August 4, 2015. Hanging Out With The Boys. Well the rains have continued (yesterday broke a 42 year record for the amount of rain we got and the flooding in some areas was leading to emergency evacuations) and as such, the riding has not been happening. Hero has gotten his shoe put back on, but everything is just too muddy and wet to do much more than walk. I've really been wishing we had some sort of covered arena lately! This weekend all I did was groom the boys and take them out for some hand grazing.

April 2015 - The Owls Approve
http://www.theowlsapprove.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
The Weight Of It. I started writing this post when I saw the light at the end of the kick-from-hell-tunnel. And then Archie got cellulitis. And then Archie got caught up in an electric fence and caused his leg to bleed and I wondered if he were going to have another bout of cellulitis. So I waited. I didn't talk about the leg-fence because I was pretty much done at that point. This has been hard. Of life medication. Surprise: it's actually not happy pills. This is called "self-medicating" and is generall...

http://fraidycateventing.blogspot.com/2015/07/constructive-criticism-v-public-shaming.html
Thursday, July 9, 2015. Constructive criticism v. public shaming. Ok This is a tirade-ish post. Just warning ya. And as always, my opinions are based on my experiences in the horse world. Your mileage may vary (please feel free to chime in! Also - the scenario I'm about to describe is unrelated to this blog. I am so grateful for everyone who reads and takes time to comment - really thank you! I've felt nothing but support and encouragement from this little community, and I hope that never changes. Hopeful Jumpers: October 2014
http://jessandprinceofthieves.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
October 31, 2014. The $3 pumpkin costume makes its annual appearance. The cats join in the fun (and by that I mean fun for me). My favorite costume from years past- Munch dressed as Abu, the monkey from Aladdin. I haven't ever dressed the horses up, so no Halloween pictures from them, sorry. Hero and I had a lesson Thursday morning. He was by far the best he's been for a morning lesson, and that was even with the distraction of a herd of loud goats running around in the field next to us.
