baz's backpacking blog: inov8 roclite 315 trainers
http://bazbackpack.blogspot.com/2015/02/inov8-roclite-315-trainers.html
Wednesday, 18 February 2015. Inov8 roclite 315 trainers. This is my third pair in Inov8 Roclites, and these are the new look from last year’s revamp. So what’s changed? My overall view on the revamped Roclite 315s is one step forward and one back, the solid upper will be fine for the cooler months providing they stay relatively dry but I will need to invest in pair of trainers with mesh uppers for the warmer months. Sunday, 22 February 2015. Gluten free scotch eggs - marks and spencer. Gone is sixty seconds. Not long after that I was looking for lunch in M&S and discovered that they now sell gluten free scotch eggs so they ended up in my basket in a flash. Back at the office they were gone before I could make note of the nutritional detail! Wednesday, 18 February 2015. Inov8 roclite 315 trainers. Monday, 16 February 2015. I have to thank fellow Backpackers Club member Darren Long for introducing me to this pitch....

baz's backpacking blog: Bikepacking
http://bazbackpack.blogspot.com/2015/05/bikepacking.html
Tuesday, 19 May 2015. Packed and ready to roll. Bikepacking – it's the same as backpacking but my bike carries the bags not my back. And it’s something I've always wanted to have a go at. I’m comfortable with the camping side of the activity – obviously. But I haven’t had any experience of doing so with a bike. There are some aspects of the activity that I’d like to have dry run at before peddling off like mad down one the of the many cycle routes this country or further afield has to offer. Luckily I di...

Saturday, 24 March 2012. Kenco millicano wholebean instant. Having just blogged about Nescafe's. Coffee I found Kenco's. Offering on the same take. The box of ten sachets retails for £1.99, and each sachet weighs 2.5g. There's nothing on the packaging about how much water I needed to use, so I made up a mugful. And as expected the coffee had the all important creama. I think I prefer it to the Nescafe. Saturday, 17 March 2012. Hugger, soft shackle and paracord sling in use. As I did my hammock. Bratwurst...

Thursday, 17 April 2014. Rab ps hoodie – first look. I’ve been a fan of Rab clothing for some time. The Rab Vapour Rise Smock. Is my go to mid-layer garment for the cooler months, and the Rab Microlight Alpine Jacket. For wearing around camp in the winter is never off my kit list. Likes: fit, feel of fabric, hood. Dislikes: weight, pocket clearance. Stock photo supplied by Rab. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). London, some where out west, United Kingdom. View my complete profile. Subscribe to baz's blog.

baz's backpacking blog: December 2011

Friday, 2 December 2011. E Lite the clip doesn't have a mechanism allowing it to swivel so it can't be clipped to the brim of a cap and used like a head torch. If you don't need to use the elastic to mount the light it can be removed saving a massive 2g! The elastic also has a very innovative tab that is used to open the battery hatch. The lamp boast a brightness of 12 lumens. 160 hours in that mode. I bought a pair of these some time back for use when car camping. The TNF. I've had the jacket three week...

Tuesday, 9 July 2013. Double pen wallet in use, and wide wallet dry. Now that summer has finally arrived I dug my Frio. Wallets out of my gear box to keep my daily use insulin pens cool. Insulin degrades at heat so it is important to keep it at a temperature where this doesn’t happen, and this is exactly what these do. They come in a range of sizes to suit, I use the double pen wallet and the wide wallet for storage of spare cartridges. The Frio. Available here http:/ www.friouk.com/. Friday, 5 July 2013.

Thursday, 12 April 2012. Mammut t-trail and ambient light dry bag. When I saw this I just had to have one. I am after all a gear head and a sucker for cool looking kit. But most of all I like kit that has more than one purpose. Bag and head torch. The Mammut Ambient Light dry bag. Is a clever piece of innovation; it's a dry bag that doubles as a diffuser for the Mammut T-Trail head torch. All in all a great piece of kit. Call 01625 508218 for your nearest stockist.
