Wilson's disease is a digestive disease. It causes the liver to absorb copper. Eventually the damaged liver releases copper into the bloodstream. Wilson's disease can cause severe brain damage. In addition it can lead to liver failure and death. It is caused by a damaged chromosome 13. Symptoms of Wilson's disease are jaundice, anemia, vomiting blood, and rigid muscles.
