While You Were Sleeping :. My daily adventures during the beijing olympics. Tuesday, August 19, 2008. And the gates are down. Since my blog marathon last Sunday I have been on auto-pilot,. We heard the British anthem a few more times. It is actually very nauseating. We heard a stat the other day from a British reporter, "If the British cycling team was a nation they would be third in the medal count." That's crazy! Today I was back in the broadcast area getting translations from everyone under the sun...

While You Were Sleeping :. My daily adventures during the beijing olympics. Friday, August 22, 2008. We are the champions. What if we foul in the box? What if they score? It's amazing how many thoughts can race through our minds in such a short period of time. Even though you did not give a blow by blow detailed account of the match, I felt the passion you felt writing. Above all events that you were able to watch, I am so happy for you that you were able to watch women's soccer! Chicago better get 2016.

This posting got me all teary eyed, ok, crying, as it reminds me so much of our last day in PdG over a year ago. Enjoy your last day and a half and know that everyone at home is so excited to see you! The song I am listening to right now is "I keep coming back", pretty fitting! August 25, 2008 at 6:50 AM. Live from the Beijing Olympics: China's Progression Toward Capitalism
http://leroyattheolympics.blogspot.com/2008/09/chinas-progression-toward-capitalism.html
Live from the Beijing Olympics. Tuesday, September 30, 2008. China's Progression Toward Capitalism. When people think about China, people think communism. People think about the government limiting opportunities for people. And before I traveled to China for the first time, I thought the same. To my surprise, from what I experienced, it's far from that. Tuesday, September 30, 2008. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Cycling Schedule and Results. Ha Oh, by the way, we are no longer switching. The woman took to long to decide and the three of us just want to stay at cycling. I can't speak for everyone, but I am really enjoying it in cycling. If anything, it is another sport I can talk about! Wednesday, July 30, 2008. Gilligan, and the skipper too. I thin...

While You Were Sleeping :. My daily adventures during the beijing olympics. Sunday, August 17, 2008. I wish I had had more time yesterday. I was in the blogging groove and now I seem to have lost my rhythm of yesterday's blog. The Women's and Men's Pursuit qualifications were nothing too riveting. Both USA cyclists, Taylor Phinney and Sarah Hammer qualified, but by no means were they exceptional. Those races became more exciting the second day when there was more competition. Live from the Beijing Olympics. Sunday, August 24, 2008. Saying Goodbye to Beijing. I have no more volunteer duties. Today is my last full-day in Beijing. I don't have any big plans for today but I am sure I will spend plenty of time trying to pack everything I bought into my suitcases that were already busting at the seams when I got here. Sunday, August 24, 2008. Had a good time reading the posts! Hope you get a good movie on the return trip. August 24, 2008 at 10:29 PM. View my complete profile. SILVE...
