My gorgeous little baby boy turned one today. Such a huge milestone! The Big Man and I both worked today, but we still managed to have an awesome day with Max and squeezed in plenty of celebrating. This weekend had been a wash out. It's Sunday night and my house is still crazy messy. Dishes in the sink, the floors haven't been vacummed, the laundry is in piles on the couch, there are rubbish bags in the laundry and no groceries in the fridge or cupboard. I've been sick. First with a cold and then with a stomach bug for the last couple of days. Luckily I have tomorrow off, hopefully I can get the house cleaned up then. I'm off to bed. Sunday, 23 May 2010. An Afternoon in the Park. This afternoon Dez and I decided to take our beautiful baby boys down to the park for some fresh air. Ethan is still a bit young to fully appreciate the outdoors, but Max absolutely loved it. He watched the big kids riding around on their bikes, played with the grass, crawled around and generally had a really good time. Something we will definitely have to do more often! This morning I had a really hard time going to work and leaving Max. With the news story about the young girl in Bundaberg, the 6 year old girl in Western Australia and a friend of mine losing her baby at 36 weeks over the weekend, it felt like there was sadness all around me. Last week I took Max over to my friend Nat's place for a play date with Baby Kate. Normally when I take Max around there he is tired and cranky from a busy week of catching up with my Hervey Bay friends and family and he just sits on the floor and cries when Kate comes near him.
