Day 43: 1km West of Guryong-ryeong to Baramburi Samgeori. Distance for the day: 14.5km. Slowly wearing out and looking forward to the end we decided to sleep in and leave whenever we were ready. Packing up, Marilyne found a little friend on her tent. It seems as we go further North the larger mountains with big ups and downs have turned into a lot more smaller peaks all in a row. Day 44 – Baramburi Samgeori to 1.5km North of Hangye-ryeong. Distance for the day: 6 km ( 34.5 km by car). After a windy night where we were grateful for our tents that held up against the strong wind (and that no tree fell on us! We packed up a bit late and hit the trail around 9am. We only had 4.5 kilometers to walk until we came to a road, where we were planning to hitch in order to get around a closed section of the trail in front of us. We heard that it is a good practice to bow to cars when hitching.

Getting to listen to the sound of rain on the tent all night, we wake up at first light and force ourselves to put on cold and wet clothing and shoes.
