http://knowingnobounds.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Monday, April 25, 2011. OUR SUPER BIG, SUPER EXCITING NEWS! So back a few weeks ago I said that our family has HUGE news and I couldn't announce it for a few weeks. We had to make sure that our parents knew before anyone else did! This stirring in our hearts came long before we decided definitely to adopt and subsided for awhile during our adoption and our transition from 2 kids to 4 (in less than a 7 month span! Back to late August/early September. Adam and I both started to feel the tug. 6 Do not be an...

Our Family's Journey.: October 2011
http://knowingnobounds.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Wednesday, October 12, 2011. The story so far. Adam and I began thinking about missions in Africa after reading an article in Relevant Magazine about femocide in the Congo. It moved us and. Really got our minds racing about “someday” becoming missionaries and moving somewhere in Africa. This was January 2009). As we were discussing all of it we thought that when the kids grew up that we could do it. Never imaging any time in the near future. We started our adoption from Ethiopia with AGCI in April 2009.

Are We There Yet?: October 2010
http://simmonsjourney.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Are We There Yet? Saturday, October 23, 2010. I was supposed to write another post about DC! My name is Lori and I am a bad blogger! Better late than never. BTW.if you want to see more posts, leave more comments! I thrive on positive reinforcement! What's a trip to DC without a historical tour of the city? We saw all of those very important landmarks and memorials, visited museums, travelled via the metro (a true DC experience, for sure! But, those were not the highlight(s) of our trip. Later, we were ta...

Are We There Yet?: July 2010
http://simmonsjourney.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Are We There Yet? Friday, July 30, 2010. I went for another hot and excrutiatingly painful run/walk today. Why do I do that to myself, again? Because it's good for me'. Say with a whiny, mocking tone). I always listen to my ipod which just so happens to contain songs from my teenage years. I may be dating myself, but, oh well, I'm not one to hide my age. The fact that I have a 20 year old daughter dates me, right? Anyway, the song Something to Believe In by Poison came on. See if you remember these words:.

Are We There Yet?: Making Progress
http://simmonsjourney.blogspot.com/2011/12/making-progress.html
Are We There Yet? Thursday, December 8, 2011. I have digressed a bit in my blogging about adoption to post on some things that have been on my mind and heart lately. Today I'd like to return for a moment to parenting a child who happens to be adopted and also suffers from an attachment disorder. Or so we thought.) After all, we already had 4 children, 3 of which were already teens. If you can parent a teen, you can parent any child, right? She could sit there all day seething at me. Put her in her room.
