My Big Year of Wildlife. Sunday, June 1, 2014. A few short local walks provided the entertainment this weekend. As we entered. Pishiobury Park with the dogs we were advised to avoid the “Swarm of Hornets” that were loudly buzzing nearby. From a safe distance I observed about a 100 or so insects buzzing in a furious swarm. Now in my recent walks the only insect I’ve seen that could be doing this in this number is bumble bees, but do they swarm like this? The best I can do is this. A few Common Swifts.

Saturday, 8 February 2014. Last Sunday me and dad connected with the Mealy Redpoll. At Warnham LNR is showed very well Niger feeder it never showed of that feeder so all the photos have that init sorry. Then today i popped down West Beach for a quick visit but that then turned into a Day because of the find of a Kumelin's Gull. Found by my very dear friend Harry Ramm and dad, when i arrived at about 8:30 Harry and dad had what they thought was an Iceland gull. And said that it was a Kumeline's Gull.

In County Durham, picked up Matt Eade and Jake Everit at Bolney around 1:30 AM, we then arrived at the estate about 7 AM and and after about 10-20 minutes of being on sight the bird was then seen on the Coconut feeders, we were all able to get some very good views of the Myrtle Warbler. 2cy Bird) when we arrived both birds were on the tide line showing very well. Popped down to the patch this morning nothing much around on the beach the Kumelin's Gull. 1cy & Glaucous Gull. 2cy were still lingering of the pier, there is also plenty other gulls around so i still think the adult Glaucous Gull. Is still around some were there was also one adult Little Gull. Flying east past the pier, nothing else on the Golf Course either apart from 3 Stonechat, i will be back down there tomorrow to.
