Sunday, December 25, 2011. Thursday, December 8, 2011. Cody just finished his first semester of law school! I don't know who's happier about it, him or me. We bought a house! Well, its still being built and technically won't close until it's done, but it's in gilbert and we hope to move in by february. We're pretty excited about this news! Monday, March 5, 2012. I figured it was about time to post about our cruise we took in january. we both ended up catching bad colds toward the end of the cruise and haven't been the same since. we've gone from having colds to a nasty case of bronchitis, and now i have the flu (praying cody doesn't get this one - law school doesn't allow for sick days! Saturday, July 23, 2011. We had an amazing independence day and were lucky enough to spend it in chi-town. we celebrated by having a poolside bbq with friends then making our way to navy pier for fireworks! I'm glad we ended up going to navy pier (even though it seemed the entire city of chicago was there also). its hard to beat the nightime views of the city skyline from the pier! Sunday, September 4, 2011. The rest of chicago. We've been home for about a month and i'm just now getting around to documenting the last photos from our summer in chicago. its nice to be home but we're so grateful for all the amazing experiences we were able to have in such a unique city. My aunt was able to come out and visit for a few days! It turned out to be one of the hottest. Weeks of the summer but we still had a fun time. the day she flew in we took her to our favorite lunch spot, pastoral.

Tuesday, June 21, 2011. A few weekends ago the girls went into the city for the strawberry festival. it was at the chicago french market. Which we completely fell in love with, mostly because there was food everywhere. so many different vendors in one place, samples, chef demonstrations, we spent hours there and still didn't try everything. it was the perfect saturday. I realize i have a LOT of updating i want to do. for some reason this sweet girl of mine only naps well if she's held so here i type with one hand. before i get to my updates of the past 9 weeks i wanted to post a link to some more beautiful photos my sis-in-law, Tara, took of eloise and her sweet nursery! Tuesday, July 31, 2012. Our sweet little eloise was born on monday, may 28, 2012 at 2:36pm. 7 pounds 15 ounces (she was 2 weeks early even! And 21 inches long. its about time i record some of the events of the day while they're still fresh in my mind. We decided to go ahead and do it that day. i'm pretty sure the doctor and nurses were grateful we finally decided since it took us a couple hours and we were taking up space in triage/the doctor really wanted to go home or something.
