Well, same here in Bahrain, how many workers can you get into a van, I figured about 22 from what I could count… must smell really good in there…. In Bahrain, you can have pork products and alcohol, which makes it very popular with the Saudis, who come over on their weekends to party [Thurs/Friday]. One of the reasons Bahrain changed their weekends to Friday/Saturday. September 24, 2008 at 3:18 pm. So we’d heard about the Bahrain Roadrunners, but had not managed to track them down (really we meant to….) until last weekend, we accidentally ran into them at the Wild Animal Park. You’ve got to love the course…. Yep, pure dirt… but they did have Red Bull as a sponsor… a healthy day was concluded with large quantities of red bull and ice cream bars… ok, the health crazy has not really hit here full force…. Before heading back to Houston in mid-December we stopped by the Souk [Market in Arabic]… as you can see an interesting place. Seriously how cold does it get here…? I was even was tailored for my abaya, just in case I ever get a visa for Saudi Arabia… and no, you don’t need one in Bahrain…. Have we been here before? Ever been to the circus…. Ah, amore…. The old Arabic markets, and weird ‘ugly fruit’…yes that is the name of it, (not really a bad taste, but strangely gooey)…. But to be completely fair… Bahrain has really fancy resorts and spas… with great Friday Brunch’s (Friday is ‘Sunday’ here)….
