EA & AT's Baja Adventures: Notes to self

http://www.bajaadventuresblog.blogspot.com/2007/07/notes-to-self.html

EA and AT's Baja Adventures. Wednesday, July 11, 2007. BYOFW = Bring your own firewood.a good idea since dry Agave are hard to find, harder to collect and generally dangerous to be around. Keep your tires away from the Agave plants especially the spines at the ends of the leaves! Definitely keep your legs away from them. Thanks to Emily for testing that out for us on accident :-(. Bring a Garmin GPS.See above for explanation. Bring a well thought-out vehicle repair kit. We did one repair to the Jeep ...

EA & AT's Baja Adventures: Camping in Baja!

http://www.bajaadventuresblog.blogspot.com/2007/07/camping-in-baja.html

EA and AT's Baja Adventures. Thursday, July 12, 2007. We took a right turn off the Mexico 1 to get here.yes, I said right turn. It was difficult to find the thru street to the coast. With the help of the GPS, we navigated the little neighborhoods and found our way to this spectacular location! We saw a roadrunner along the way! Posted by Emily Allen. Labels: 1) The tent 2) surrounding tidepools 3) Emily and Jeep below the campsite 4) the view (facing south) from our campsite on the night of July 5th.

EA & AT's Baja Adventures: Back to the interior...July 6th, 2007

http://www.bajaadventuresblog.blogspot.com/2007/07/back-to-interior.html

EA and AT's Baja Adventures. Thursday, July 12, 2007. Back to the interior.July 6th, 2007. We made our way back to San Vincente before embarking on another 4-wheeling adventure to Valle de Trinidad. It's amazing how much of the landscape is dirt brown when you move away from the coast.except when you happen upon a view with a prickly pear cactus farm, a winery, a field of carrots, or a field of onions. Posted by Emily Allen. Labels: leaving our campsite towards the Baja interior. Check out the the video ...

Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Our Baja Adventure Book (Was semi-reliable- no good maps! This book was like playing russian roulette.when it was wrong it was REALLY wrong. WTF? EA & AT's Baja Adventures: "Graded" road

http://www.bajaadventuresblog.blogspot.com/2007/07/graded-road.html

EA and AT's Baja Adventures. Thursday, July 12, 2007. Actually, the pictures we took of the roads are not the worst we saw.I was operating by the theory "if you are going through hell, keep going." I am not trying to imply that it was hellish, but the constant crappy status of the road made for lo-gear 4-wheeling at 5 mph.it got hot.it got old.and I got tired. From here it was off to Mike's Sky Ranch via 8(ish) miles on Mexico 3 and some more off-roading. Posted by Emily Allen. This book was like playing...

Chronicles of a Polish Gypsy: Halloween 2007, Party #3

http://polishgypsy.blogspot.com/2007/11/halloween-2007-party-3.html

Chronicles of a Polish Gypsy. Saturday, November 03, 2007. Halloween 2007, Party #3. Ok, as I stated in a previous post, I had a cold and couldn't go to Party #3. So Maggie and I holed up at home and she greeted all the trick-or-treaters on this Halloween night. I sat on the couch and watched 28 Weeks Later. I took a nifty photo of a cat on a window sill. Chronicles of a Polish Gypsy. Friday, May 19, 2006. Boredom Breeds Burning and Breaking. My roomates burn so many things and piss off so many of my neighbors, well, it's quite exhausting as you can see. They are probably taking a power nap so they can collapse my garage or something when they wake up. Posted by Stephens at 8:29 PM. Sunriver, Spring 2006. Not much to report here, so we will immediately segway into pictures with informative captions. This vegetarian lasagna was a hit! B) pass out drunk and...

Chronicles of a Polish Gypsy: January 2006

Chronicles of a Polish Gypsy. Friday, January 13, 2006. Nothing but beer here. Well, I guess any faithful followers of the blog deserve a quick update. Last weekend, I brewed three batches of beer. Ok, I really helped two other friends brew their very first batches of beer, and then Blair and I brewed our own. At the end of Sunday, I reeked heavily of hops and malted barley. http://polishgypsy.blogspot.com/2005_11_01_archive.html

Chronicles of a Polish Gypsy. Tuesday, November 08, 2005. Trend Setters in the Beer Universe. A new craze has been started in Corvallis. Home brewing. It started out merely as way for Blair and me to use up our free time on a weekend and come out with a bit of beer for our efforts. But it has become much more. We shared our beer making adventures (and samples of our product) with others. Interest grew. Jeff (our supervisor at work, second from left above). Dave (co-worker, below left). Chronicles of a Polish Gypsy. Tuesday, August 07, 2007. Class of 1997, Myrtle Point High School Reunion. 10 years can go by quickle when you aren't thinking about it. My 10 year high school reunion seemed to come out of nowhere. Our class president did a fine job of contacting all the members of our class, arranging a fantastic meeting place, and bringing us all together. I'm sure for many of us it will be last time we see each other. This was not a member of the class of 1997. Yes, that is whiskey.

Chronicles of a Polish Gypsy. Saturday, November 03, 2007. Halloween 2007, Party #2. Maggie and I had a party out our house for three reasons:. 1 Her birthday had occured recently. 2 My birthday was occuring the next day. 3 It was close to Halloween. We managed to cram over 40 people into my living room, kitchen, and garage. It was packed! MJ, Joe Dirt, Jill and Jack (Jack and Jill,. note that Jack has fallen down the hill and severly wounded his head). We had a fog machine. I love this picture. Grandad'...

Chronicles of a Polish Gypsy. Saturday, October 13, 2007. My Grandad was a bomber pilot during WWII. He has a lot of neat stories about the war. One of the most fantastic is the story of when his plane crashed into the ocean after being damaged by gunfire. Check out my links to the right to read his story. We're proud of you big guy. Chronicles of a Polish Gypsy: A Trip on a Boat

http://polishgypsy.blogspot.com/2007/08/trip-on-boat.html

Chronicles of a Polish Gypsy. Wednesday, August 08, 2007. A Trip on a Boat. My mother and her husband own a trawler. A trawler is like an RV on the water. Slow, comfortable, with miniature everything, and a full bar. Maggie and I travelled to Pleasant Harbor (Seattle area except on the Olympic Peninsula side), where there is a marina that houses their boat. The name of the boat "Heart's Desire". Maggie and Mom talk shop at the stern of the vessel as our powerful wake trails behind them. You can tell that...
