Monday, November 30, 2009. Lost Coast for Thanksgiving. Garen had a 4 day weekend, and I managed 3. The day after Thanksgiving, we hit the road again. The Suburban is long gone, so Garen drove his 4Runner Camper Deluxe. We got a reasonably early start on Friday morning, and left the city behind. Thursday, April 23, 2009. Manuel Antonio - Quepos. We stopped in Jaco for lunch, and at Hermosa and Esterillos to check waves. Nothing happening, we hauled down to Manuel Antonio. Wednesday, December 31, 2008. Cabo San Lucas Night One. Wow this place is interesting. Here we have visited Walmart, Home Depot, McDonalds and Starbucks! Yep, Whit, there is a Starbucks here. On the way back up to our corner of the state, we stopped in Camarillo for two weeks to visit Pops and Gma. Friday, February 27, 2009. Coban Part 2 MAROONED. Metal on metal. Rotor worn paper thin on backside. No available parts. Weekend approaching, shops closed. Four more nights in Coban. Just ordering a new rotor from Guatemala City was a nightmare in itself. Waiting for it would be another challenge. We set out to find things to do and actually fared pretty well. We wandered the streets for hours at a time, discovering beautiful old cathedrals, busy mercados, and the ghetto. Alex, Garen, Camper and Marvin.
