Pumpkin Pie Bites « bakerella.com

Monday, September 28, 2009. I’ve been in a mini-mood lately when it comes to baking and these bite-sized pies met my big craving. They are really, really easy. Let me show ya. Of course, it didn’t hurt that I used ready to roll refrigerated pie crust. It comes two to a box and if you roll each round pie crust a little bit thinner with a rolling pin, you can get 24 mini pumpkin-shaped pie crusts out of them. Make sure you use all the dough scraps and re-roll to maximize quantities. You can even drizzle th...

Newer posts →. June 10, 2011. Yesterday I discovered my partner who I shall now refer to as the unenthusiastic gardener has been secretly (to my horror) buying factory chicken. Although I have a mostly vegetarian diet, my meats of choice are kangaroo and free range chicken. I do plan on eventually becoming completely vegetarian but I believe meat is an addiction that is difficult to kick. I have no gardening news. I watered the plants and left them be today. I am a handywoman. June 8, 2011. June 7, 2011.

Meet Joy | Joy the Baker
http://joythebaker.com/about-the-baker
I’m Joy. I’m a baker. Had you guessed as much? I’m a self taught/ family taught/ taste buds taught baker, turned professional baker, turned food photographer and cookbook author. I grew up in the kitchen in between my father, who makes a mean Sweet Potato Pie. And my mother, who makes a really weird purple hot dog casserole… don’t ask. Between my kitchen loving parents, the clinking cake pans, and the flying flour, it became clear that baking is in my blood. Contact me at: joy (at) joy the baker (dot) com.

Bread and Sniff It : And I Am Back in the Game
http://www.breadandsniffit.com/2010/11/and-i-am-back-in-game.html
Wednesday, November 24, 2010. And I Am Back in the Game. Lately my cooking has not been living up to my expectations. I was downtrodden, I was beaten, I felt like a cooking failure. That was until last Sunday when after perusing my favourite kitchen store I bought something. A pasta machine in fact. I have never ever attempted to make pasta. It never interested me. I eat it yes, I love it, but making it myself? Surely that's too hard? 200 grams of pasta dough. 4 You then want to knead the dough until it ...

I’m still here. October 5, 2011. I bought my chickens about a month ago and they have been a marvellous addition to my suburban farm. They’re inquisitive, endearing and hilarious personalities make me smile and laugh every day. The problem is I didn’t realise how smelly four chickens could be. I knew they’d smell a little bit… nothing a quick brush out of their run and coop once a week couldn’t control, right? This entry was posted in chickens. I’m still here. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

Milk and Cookies: Keen For Quinoa
http://ilovemilkandcookies.blogspot.com/2009/02/keen-for-quinoa.html
Sunday, February 01, 2009. You might be interested to know that I've been storing up fats this winter, hoping to insulate myself from the icy climes that my Australian disposition is unaccustomed to. And with the storing up of fats comes, well, not surprisingly enough- an unwelcome heftiness around the belly, however, I find myself still feeling an overall sense of coldness inside. Frankly I don't know why quinoa isn't getting more of a rap. It's perfect. It's the kind of food that you can feed y...And t...
