Living From Scratch: The Last Day of "Winter"
http://livingfromscratch1.blogspot.com/2012/03/last-day-of-winter.html
Going back to the basics in search of a more natural lifestyle. Tuesday, March 20, 2012. The Last Day of "Winter". Well, Ikea let me down.again. (raise you hand if you're surprised! They now say that the counters I'm waiting for will be in on Thursday. I hope it's true, but I'm not holding my breath. Ikea aside, the last day of winter was a productive and shockingly summer-like kind of day. I did indeed make an eggs for sale sign, and it worked too! Sorry about the glare, I said it was sunny yesterday!

Chitchat from a newlywed on marriage, life, and everything in between. Wednesday, February 27, 2013. Last year my dear friend Courtney invited us to the annual marriage retreat hosted by her church, but with our foster child at the time it was just incredibly difficult to get away. So this year when she asked, we were happy to be able to say yes. The theme of the retreat this year was The Art of Marriage. During this time we were seated at a table with 3 other couples whom we would spend the next day dis...

When we got home from vacation, we noticed Kung Pao was spending a lot of her time in the nest box. Eventually, we realized she was spending ALL of her time in the nest box. She got all puffy when you got near (good thing she wasn't a RIR, or we'd never have been able to get to the eggs! Get away from my nest! Do I look comfortable to you? Awesome Inc. ...

Chitchat from a newlywed on marriage, life, and everything in between. Monday, April 1, 2013. Over the last couple years this has really paid off, and our power bill has dropped tremendously! Last week I got this nice little letter in the mail from our power company that showed our average usage and compared it to 100 other comparable homes in my area. Needless to say.we are energy saving superstars :). They estimated that we saved over $400 dollars last year! Links to this post. The (W)eaning of Life.

Two husbands, two homes, and one young bride. Laquo; Months 8, 9, and 10. 11 and 12 months. Yesterday Nathan turned one year old. How can this be? Wasn’t he born only a few months back? And yet I can barely remember life before he came. Tim’s Aunt even made a Winnie-the-Pooh cake, which Nathan delved into rather timidly (Tim would like me to note that Nathan was NOT timid about delving into the vanilla ice-cream). It was so fun to do a big birthday bash with people who. And running the dishwasher (we tea...
