Tuesday, April 23, 2013. Macarons - take two. To make the bird shapes, I piped two circles/dots for the belly/head, and used a clean wooden toothpick to pull the batter into fine adjustments and the beak/tail parts. I had drawn a template for the bird onto a piece of paper, on two sides so that I had both the left and right facing bird shapes. Sunday, October 27, 2013. It's been a loooong time since I last posted on this blog with anything baking related. But today, I have some fun halloween macarons to share with you =). Read more about how I made these after the jump. Moving on, the next thing I did was to bake the macarons. I took them out once they were finished, let them cool and matched them up in pairs of similar sized shells. I sifted the whole thing with cocoa powder. Thanks for stopping by my blog today =).
