Baking with Susan: Chocolate with Francois - Chocolate Tiramisu
http://bakingbysue.blogspot.com/2011/05/chocolate-with-francois-chocolate.html
Recipes, thoughts and pictures from my world. Sunday, May 1, 2011. Chocolate with Francois - Chocolate Tiramisu. A day late (and a dollar short! So, the April pick for CFW. And Seattle Pastry Girl. I am not sure I would have. But, boy am I glad I did. This was (is) a slightly complicated recipe. You have to make a ganache, a cake and a mousse. Then you have to put those three components together. I started on the cake next. After tasting the ganache again to make sure it was still okay. I brew my coffee ...

http://bakingbysue.blogspot.com/2011/04/catching-up-on-my-chocolate-with.html
Recipes, thoughts and pictures from my world. Tuesday, April 5, 2011. Catching up on my Chocolate with Francois group. Has it really been almost two months since I posted on my blog? I am ashamed to admit that. But, when you work two jobs, bake on the side (though not as much as I wish) and keep up (somewhat) with a household, I guess the time can get away from you. Or me. Which is what happened. That's my story and I am sticking to it! I am going to be a Grandma! It was such fun! Back in December I bake...

Channeling Julia Child: Bavarois aux Praline
http://channelingjulia.blogspot.com/2010/06/bavarois-aux-praline.html
A personal discovery of unalloyed pleasure through the recipes of Julia Child. My mother, although multi-talented, had an aversion to the kitchen and has often said that I learned to cook at an early age “out of self-defense.” When she made chicken. By smearing a chicken with powdered Tang, I quickly developed a necessary passion for creating tasty things to eat. Somewhere in the family photograph album is a picture of me at the stove, age ten, happily stirring marinara sauce. Tuesday, June 1, 2010.

How I Activate The Right Side of My Brain. Laquo; #TWDbakers – Mocha Walnut Marbled Bundt Cake. Last day for Frost. April 12, 2010. We had a perfect day yesterday. The yard received some much-needed TLC. I worked on the flower beds, raking up the winter debris and pruning the bushes, while Dan worked cleaning the driveway and the vehicles. By the way, have I mentioned I love my iPod? This is my first attempt at strawberry rhubarb filling, however. And though it was flavorful and the familiar taste th...

Edd Kimber's Adventures in Food. Baking The Great British Wedding Cake. April 20, 2011. My traditional cake was based around my Nanna’s christmas cake recipe. In other news, I wanted to quic...

Baking Bytes | because you do eat prettiness
Because you do eat prettiness. Guinness and Baileys Cheesecake Swirl Brownies. Posted by Lindsey @ Baking Bytes. Brownies are one of the few things I almost never make from scratch. Costco sells 6-packs of Ghirardelli Triple Chocolate Brownie Mix which is what I nearly always use. Super chocolately, even more super easy, and the perfect fudgy texture that I love. Honestly, most homemade brownies are not as consistently good as this mix. If you need an easy but delicious St. Paddy’s Day dessert,...In a sm...
