If I wanted friends, I wouldn't do birdwatching. List of British Birds. Yesterday. Blashford Lakes. Buzzard oiling the wheels of commerce with its lust fuelled advertising. Blue tit bringing everything around to himself. The smuggest stock dove I have ever encountered. Robin in autumn smudge plummage. Kestrel milking the air butter. Greenfinch tailor weaving tiny trousers for a ghost. Coal tit; does not burn as well as its name suggests. Catch Up →. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here.
Mediterranean Gull | baldmonkeyseenabird
https://baldmonkeyseenabird.wordpress.com/2015/07/19/mediterranean-gull
If I wanted friends, I wouldn't do birdwatching. List of British Birds. I’ve just been to Prinsted. And seen a mediterranean gull. Not well, mind. But I did. So there. I could tell it was mediterranean because there was a German gull nearby bailing it out. One and a bit mediterranean gulls. Buzzard. Its burps smelt of badger. This puts me on a total of 166 bird species seen in Britain to date. Which is a world record. Because I am the best at seening birds. Because it is a great hobby. Now I offer you my...

If I wanted friends, I wouldn't do birdwatching. List of British Birds. On Sunday 12th I went to Radipole Lake. In Weymouth to seen some birds. I was hoping to seen a mediterranean gull because I have not seen a mediterranean gull before Sunday 12th. I also did not on Sunday 12th. Or since Sunday 12th. This is a dreadful way to try and fill the time between birth and death. Sweet death. Wonderful welcoming death. It was a great day. Marsh harrier. Again. Might be a different one. Might not. My name is Pa...

http://skevsblog.blogspot.com/2015/05/another-car.html
Birds, Leps, Observations and Generalities - the images and ramblings of Mark Skevington. Sometimes. Monday, 18 May 2015. Doesn't seem that long ago that I was preparing to handover my car. For a new one, but it's almost four years since the Vectra went and this arrived . It never really got abused as much as the old Vectra, and I slept in it a lot less, but it has been where no other Laguna sport tourer has . Nice blog. Thanks for sharing. Latterly mostly about travel. Friday, 24 July 2015. So what's been going on? Obviously there is never a dull moment at Chateau L, but there's not a lot to tell. This week however has been punctuated by two momentous twitches. Well, one momentous, one semi-pleasing. The first was a Green Sandpiper. On the deck. Although it was my 5th Green Sand. Please tell us it is not so? And if it is, please make sure to release some extra-special waders (or ducks) from your magic satchel before you go! If an instituti...

http://skevsblog.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Birds, Leps, Observations and Generalities - the images and ramblings of Mark Skevington. Sometimes. Thursday, 18 September 2014. I've also picked up a few of these over the last couple of nights . I don't always get any second-brood individuals for this species, and the last one was (coincidentally) in 2011. Usually just the odd one of two when I do get them, apart from 2006 when I had a significant second-brood appearance. Sunday, 14 September 2014. Labia minor) - Whetstone, 05/09/2014. Wanstead Birder: Update
http://www.wansteadbirder.com/2015/07/update.html
Latterly mostly about travel. Sunday, 5 July 2015. A brief summary of the last month would be:. A quick trip to Poland to find Nutcracker. Geting camera fixed after trip to Poland. Desperate processing of USA photos. Doing not a lot at home. Working like a dog (a sad constant). In connection with the above, being uncomfortably hot on the tube. The birding has been dull of course, and whilst I did manage to sneak out for the long-staying Hudsonian Whimbrel. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). 115 - - -.

Thursday, May 3, 2012. The Dark Knight Rises' Theories. Well it's been a long while since my last post, years in fact, but Batman has a way of reeling me back in. What about Nightwing, you ask? I doubt it. You can't have Nightwing without first having Robin and I doubt the Nolans will go that route. Unless. They bring in another character as Robin (Tim Drake) and just have John Blake/Dick Grayson skip right to Nightwing. I would be fine with that. So in a nutshell my guess is that JGL is going to become ...

My ramblings from Alaska about life, hockey, and other things. Saturday, March 03, 2012. Well, got me a shutty tonight! We won 4-0, and brought our record to 10-3. Second one, i made a save, dumped it in the corner, and their guy grabbed it and was trying to lift it since for whatever reason, i was on my ass, legs spread (hoping he didn't crush it into the cup) and lucky for me being 6'4, i was able to kick it away with the blade of my skate and take it off his stick. Man, a shut out feels good. So yeah,...

Baldmoose Studio, Gay Vogt, Richard Vogt, fiber (weaving, basketry, felt) & glass, Seattle, Washington
We have recently moved back to Seattle after many years (since 1984). The last year has been consumed with our move (fixing our South Carolina house to sell and Richard's retirement from University of South Carolina). But we've moved back into our old Wallingford house, newly renovated for studio space, and expect to be back in production as soon as we can clear away a few more boxes! If you are Seattle, visit Richard's baskets and glass at the Fountainhead Galery.
