Just another WordPress.com weblog. Before coming to Georgia, my picture of what the large state was like consisted of large fields, trees, red dirt, barbeque and boiled peanuts. Well, my view wasn’t too far off. However, what I didn’t know about was the awesome state parks that Georgia has! 610 steps…Climb down to the suspension bridge and up again). 1,208 steps…Climb up the waterfall trail). 1,148 steps…Hike to the first waterfall’s basin and up again). Which means…….NO BUGS! Check out the pictures here!

We have definitely felt the Georgia heat…but are grateful that we have been experiencing a milder summer for this time of year. With the heat, we haven’t been as adventurous with our hikes. As we were in the middle of nowhere in southern Georgia, we were delighted to see a sign for barbeque! But this wasn’t just any barbeque restaurant! This was a front porch dinning experience. I am still thinking about my choice and the thought passes through my head more than once a day that I could still start back up if I wanted to. why is this so hard? Could I have tried further to give up all things made with even a hint of dairy? Should I just have given it a couple months and let her outgrow it? Home as of late.

Mostly it has consisted of nursing Elliette, calming Elliette, trying to get her to sleep, playing with Caden, and changing 2 sets of diapers. Here a some short updates:. Caden- What a joy! I am fearful of not being able to manage my time appropriately. I am terrified of missing moments with my little babies. I am frightened about the fact that I don't know these kids and I'm stepping into the middle of the year full of new testing and curriculum that I haven't learned about yet. A place where I can sort, vent, share, contemplate. Monday, July 12, 2010. Well, I never really thought we would find the ' right one' , but we did! We have welcomed a 2 year old miniature. Schnauzer into our family. Her name is Heidi and she is ADORABLE! Heidi can keep each other entertained for hours. She is a great dog who is already crate trained and well-mannered. We take her outside and tell her to do her business then we're back in without even having to hook her up to a leash. Well, I think so!

The floors were quite the project. I think it was good that we didn’t know what we were getting into. If we did…I don’t think we would have made the attempt. We bought a DVD from Lowe’s that shows a woman refinishing floors. It looked so effortless! And this is all on top of a list of things we already knew about before moving in.
