The Ballad of the McKeons. A day in the life of Mark and Heather. Tuesday, February 21, 2012. I also made a Valentines yarn wreath - Don't act surprised, you knew I was going to. I decided for V-day I needed to make it super frou-frou and I fell in love with the pink and white swirl yarn - makes me think of candy. But mostly I'm excited for my little vacation. I'm going sans-husband and am really looking forward to some girl time with my sis and her 5 girls. Hurrah! Looove the wreathe and the apron!

Yesterday, I finally put Ryann's quilt in the mail! After months and months of stops and starts, of delays and interruptions (including having to pack away all of my sewing area to stage the house to sell) it is finally complete. I'm so happy with how it turned out and I hope she'll love it. Hours I spent making it = 66. Cost of the materials = $191.93. Love in every stitch = immeasurable! For the first time in several years, we had all of our children and most of our grandchildren together for Thanksgiving. It was great! We actually couldn't all be together on Thanksgiving day, so we enjoyed dinner with our son, Bob, daughters, Laura and Susy, and their families plus Laura's in-laws. Friday, October 28, 2011. Pretty in Pink Fundraiser. My day job did a fundraiser with Pretty in Pink. Last weekend -Pretty in Pink Foundation is an organization that helps pay for breast cancer treatment.So I made a bag and some bookmarks (all in pink, of course) to be auctioned off. I was inspired by this to do a line of products for breast and ovarian cancer - bags and book marks in pink and teal - on my etsy site and plan to donate 80% of the proceeds to FORCE.
