Saturday, November 1, 2008. My night at U F C 90 in Chicago. It was just over a year ago the Mixed Martial Arts (fighting style used in the UFC) was legalized in Illinois. There have been a few small regional promotions to have shows since then, but not until October 25th, 2008 did the UFC finally tread into Chicago. Wednesday, November 28, 2007. Hi everyone - just a quick update on what's going on in Franchiville. Thanksgiving was great. We spent the early afternoon with the Roger's clan at Tom and Karen's house. It was fun to visit with everyone. We then made the 1 hour drive to Port Barrington to see the Franchi clan. First, the day after Thanksgiving means Maureen (and Ginger) are out shopping at 6:45AM for the entire day, finding unreal deals on all kinds of fun stuff. Tuesday, March 25, 2008. Emily June - 1 Month Old. Today marks the day that Emily has been with us for one month. I have to say it has been an incredible month, filled with some of the greatest moments of our lives. I have learned a ton as a new dad, and can only say that fatherhood is highly recommended. Maureen is doing great. She is recovering very nicely from her surgery, and is enjoying her days at home with Emily. Anyways, here are some pictures for you! Monday, March 3, 2008. Tuesday, January 29, 2008. Maureen and I had our "1 month-to-go" appointment today. Everything is going as planned, so no real news to report. Maureen has been extremely tired the last few weeks, and I have been getting the house as ready as I can for the arrival of Baby Franchi. Next up.car seats. Monday, April 28, 2008. Bridget and Joe were able to watch Emily overnight on Saturday, and Maureen and I snuck off to the city for a fun night on the town. Our hotel also had a game room on the 6th floor, which had several tvs and game systems ready to go, so we had room service bring us a few beers and we played Rock Star / Guitar Hero for a little while also. Maureen and I are never going to be rock stars. Thanks to Joe and Bridget for watching Emily! Anyways, no other news cooking in Franchiville.
