Malaysia Airlines has put its entire fleet of six Airbus A380s up for sale, along with four Boeing 777-200ER jets, as the airline ramps up its efforts to wipe out millions of dollars in ongoing losses. Malaysia Airlines is said to be open to outright sale or lease. Monday, 30 March 2015. Australia tightens cockpit safety laws. From today it will be mandatory for two people to be in the cockpit at all times on all international and domestic flights, the Federal Government says. Australia's Deputy Prime Minister Warren Truss said the new policy would apply to aircraft with 50 or more passengers. Tuesday, 30 June 2015. Hervey Bay and Bundaberg. It was time to call on customers in the Wide Bay Burnett area (i.e. Hervey Bay and Bundaberg) once again, so yesterday I headed off and slowly made my way to Hervey Bay where I stayed last night. This morning; with only having one customer left to see; I headed off to the airport before the 90 min drive from Hervey Bay to Bundaberg. It was nice to see a few different aircraft on the ground. Thursday, 12 March 2015. Two Cathay Pacific Pilots killed in Hong Kong. It is very sad to read that two Cathay Pacific pilots were killed in the early hours of this morning when the sports car they were driving in careered off the road and burst into flames. The men were both aged 27 according to a police commander at the scene and were excellent pilots with a long career ahead of them with the airline. My thoughts and prayers go out their family and friends and of course colleagues at Cathay Pacific.
