My life as an Army wife: Sidelined...
http://armywife117.blogspot.com/2009/08/sidelined.html
Wednesday, August 12, 2009. Well, whatever I did to my back has thrown a wrench into all of my training plans. Last Friday I went to the commissary (like normal), had the baggers help me out to the car (like normal), got the kids in their car seats (like normal), then got into the driver's seat and had a sharp pain on the right, lower side of my back. My pain level was at an 8/10 (my personal 10 was the pain of childbirth! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. One Big Harley Family.

My life as an Army wife: Upcoming Events
http://armywife117.blogspot.com/2009/08/upcoming-events.html
Saturday, August 15, 2009. In an effort to focus on the positive things and not on how many hours it's been since my last 800mg of Motrin, I'm looking ahead at the rest of August and September. August 25 - Brady's first day of PDTP! I also have my Point of Contact (POC) class on base and my first Family Readiness Group (FRG) meeting as a POC that night. What a busy day! September 1, 8, 10 - I'm taking a workshop called "Parenting 1, 2, 3, 4! September 19 - George will be competing in the Air Force half-m...

My life as an Army wife: February 2009
http://armywife117.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
Wednesday, February 25, 2009. Yesterday was my first outing with the kids by myself! Brady was (mostly) helpful and good - he held my hand in the parking lot and hospital and had a snack while we watched the informational 2-week power point presentation the Army gives all parents. Lexi is now 8 lbs, 7 ounces (3 ounces over birth weight) and is 21 inches long (a whole 3/4 inch in 2 weeks! Yesterday, the SAME doctor looked at her and decided that since it's not just a skin tag, but there is a small growth ...

My life as an Army wife: April 2009
http://armywife117.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
Wednesday, April 22, 2009. I decided a couple of weeks ago that since I cannot diet (due to breastfeeding and wanting it to be successful for at least 6 months), I was going to exercise. I haven't found anything in my breastfeeding research that says I cannot run! I am signed up for the Army 10-miler with Whitney on October 4. I'm excited since it will be Whitney and I's first race together. It's always easier to run a race with someone and who better to run with than your best friend? Last thing on the ...

My life as an Army wife: Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR)
http://armywife117.blogspot.com/2009/05/auditory-brainstem-response-abr.html
Wednesday, May 13, 2009. Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR). Auditory brainstem response (ABR) is an electrical signal evoked from the brainstem of a human or other mammal by the presentation of a sound such as a click. Lexi had her ABR yesterday - and passed with flying colors! Means that Brady had Daddy walking all over the 3rd floor of the hospital for almost 2 hours). Kudos to George for having patience! The doctor didn't know if this cleared Lexi of a possible BOR diagnosis. I'm not sure if heari...

My life as an Army wife: November 2008
http://armywife117.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
Wednesday, November 19, 2008. The hectic schedule and lack of sleep and overplanning paid off - we got the house we wanted! I cannot believe that in the last 4 days we have moved across the country, looked at 15 houses, driven 500 miles to pick up our first shipped vehicle, and put a contract on a house. We're pretty much on cloud 9, but we're taking advantage of having the info by 8:30pm and going to bed! Tuesday, November 18, 2008. I felt like the world's worst mommy! We spent some time while driving t...

My life as an Army wife: Psychic Abilities at 5am
http://armywife117.blogspot.com/2009/08/psychic-abilities-at-5am.html
Monday, August 17, 2009. Psychic Abilities at 5am. This morning, I woke up at 4:30am to hear Lexi fussing as George changed her diaper (thank God he helps in some way in the middle of the night! As I fed Lexi, I could hear George getting ready for PT - shaving, moving laundry to the dryer, etc. I took Lexi back upstairs after a good burp and she went right back to sleep - my good girl! Me: What are you doing? George: Just cuddling. Waiting for my PT's to finish drying. Me: You're going to fall asleep.
