Made it safe and sound! September 8, 2012. This slideshow requires JavaScript. I am NOT HERE TO SHOP (I am telling myself this over and over). Yesterday was first day teaching. I has three students (they are called students here as they regard you as teacher). Lovely people. Very kind and respectful. I took a maiden voyage walk at lunch time to the park and then went to dinner and ordered all by myself. Most speak some English so its not too difficult. Newer post →. September 9, 2012. EPHESUS – October 18, 2012. November 21, 2012. Off to one night in Kusadasi. Kusadasi is the fourth busiest cruise port town in the Mediterranean. It has some nice beaches, night clubs but the formal attraction is the stone fortress the occupies most of Guvercin Ada (Pigeon Island). Shane had a nice swim in the med. I was too cold. Go figure!
