All About White Rice and Orange Chicken: The Birth Story of Cynthia Nahee Jones

All About White Rice and Orange Chicken. Friday, July 31, 2015. The Birth Story of Cynthia Nahee Jones. Marc called Sister Nahoolewa who we had arranged with to watch Sonya if I went into labor at night. We didn't even have time to wait for her to get to our house. Instead we just had to leave the keys in the mail box and let her know. Almost as if he were shouting. I said, "Where do we need to go? I do not like needles. Let me repeat that. I do not like needles! I remembered thinking, "I wish! No one sa...

All About White Rice and Orange Chicken: April 2015
http://whitericeandorangechicken.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
All About White Rice and Orange Chicken. Tuesday, April 28, 2015. We couldn'tkeep it to ourselves any longer. This past Thursday we finally told Sonya we were going to go to San Antonio the next day. "Santonios? Yes, this is the story of our trip to Santonios to go "see world.". You can't really see him but he's wearing the blue shirt behind the stairs. Is it bad that I actually thought these people were pretty ridiculous? Pretty intelligent animals (and trainers! While the killer whales were pretty good...

All About White Rice and Orange Chicken: November 2014
http://whitericeandorangechicken.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
All About White Rice and Orange Chicken. Sunday, November 30, 2014. Every Fortnight We Have a Fort Night. That title is not entirely accurate. It is far more frequent than every two weeks these days. It tests my skills of creativity to try and figure out how to come up with a different design every time. One time, I made one in the hallway while Eunmi was gone and it was basically a tunnel leading from Sonya's room to the kitchen. No pictures of that one but Sonya really enjoyed that one. This picture do...

All About White Rice and Orange Chicken: June 2014
http://whitericeandorangechicken.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
All About White Rice and Orange Chicken. Monday, June 30, 2014. Much Needed Break- in Arizona! Sonya loved being pushed in the swing by Marc. The swing is in Marc's parents' yard. We went to a park to feed ducks with Kari, Lydia, and Marc's mom. We went early in the morning but it was still pretty hot. Sonya and Lydia were the only ones who didn't seem to be bothered by the heat. They had fun feeding ducks. It doesn't cost much to entertain these toddlers! Friday, June 13, 2014. One Down One More to Go.

All About White Rice and Orange Chicken: September 2014
http://whitericeandorangechicken.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
All About White Rice and Orange Chicken. Monday, September 22, 2014. There is an elementary school right across from where we live. It gives us headaches in the morning when parents drop their kids off and they all park on the street where we live. It's a joke sometimes just to get out of our driveway. The school does provides us a good playground, though. It has a "wing" as Sonya calls it. Sunday, September 14, 2014. Saturday, September 6, 2014. Sonya's 2-year Check up. But really, I love how much she i...

The Miller Family: December 2009
http://djmillerfamily.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
Thursday, December 31, 2009. We made gingerbread houses with the girls one night for Family Home Evening. I have no idea what possessed me to tell them it would be fun to add coconut for snow. We were cleaning up coconut for days. We had our traditional Christmas Eve of jammies and pizza but we were sorely missing my parents! Here are the cookies and milk the girls left for Santa. Notice the paper plate asking for his signature. Apparently they were hoping this would verify his existence. Grace's ELP tea...

The Miller Family: I'm back
http://djmillerfamily.blogspot.com/2012/08/i-back.html
Sunday, August 5, 2012. Forgotten how cranky she was at first. She's now 15 months and so dang cute. She will be our last so I'm trying to soak up all the baby-ness she has to offer. I'm sure she's sick of me squeezing and kissing her. Claire is now three and just about the funniest thing I've ever known. She has the most entertaining inflection to her voice and quite the lisp. She is completely infatuated with her big sisters and will miss them terribly when they head to school in two days.

The Miller Family: June 2010

Monday, June 14, 2010. Yesterday Devon asked the girls to rinse off their breakfast dishes. Neither of them wanted to do it so some whining and complaining ensued. Here's the conversation between Jenna and Devon. Jenna: But why do we have to do it, Dad? Devon: Because I asked you to. Jenna: But can't you do it for us? Devon: If every time you didn't want to do what I asked then I did it for you, what kind of message would that send? We had a good belly laugh but, alas, Jenna still had to clean her plate!

Saturday, October 29, 2011. I decided to do an easier one this year; considering I've had some trouble in the past. Tonight Tanner and I went to the ward Halloween Party. Tanner was all decked out in his Pooh Bear costume! Here are a few snapshots of the little guy. Justen and Courtney Watkins. I know this is a little late, but last Saturday Tan Man turned 10 months! All About White Rice and Orange Chicken. Saturday, August 30, 2014. Just Between Friends"-Consignment Sale Fun! Can I just say it was such a culture shock almost? Most people were shopping with clothing racks and a couple of baskets on the bottom and top shelves (no, there wasn't shopping carts like Wal-mart has so they had to be creative, but really! Some people ran out of room. They were real serious about it! These pictures only show half of the place. It was huge! So I really wanted to get one for he...
