http://ju68andchris.blogspot.com/2007_08_01_archive.html
Wednesday, August 22, 2007. Shots of our recent Italian holiday. St Peter's Basilica, Vatican City. Some famous people we "met" along the way.(Jem, please correct me if I got any of the facts wrong! By the way, all the pictures were taken by Jem. Moses by Michelangelo. Met him at Piazza della Vincoli in a church which also contained the chains which held Peter captive before an angel came to free him. Padre Pio at San Giovanni Rotondo. Man of few but impactful words. Enough said. Ju's face says it all!

Thursday, March 30, 2006. Mario visits us in New Zealand. Tuesday, March 28, 2006. 5 of us who are involved in the Prison Ministry attended a day's training organised by Prison Fellowship. It was sobering and staggering to be told that there are 20 prisons in New Zealand. With an inmate population of 7000 (and growing). For a nation of 4 million people. We cannot all do great things, but we can do small things with great love. Mother Teresa. Part of this year's plan was to undertake some modest home impr...

We presented an hour's programme each to 2 classes of the college and it was a bonus that some of the girls from New Plymouth Lifeteen who were students there (Alana, Therese, Roseanne) could come to support us. Friday, December 14, 2007. We are Songs of Magnificat! Ju and I spent a weekend in Lublin, Poland at the invitiation of the Magnificat Ministry which is a women-to-women ministry. I was invited to share my personal testimony at the Magnificat meal which gathers women for an evening of worship, fellowship and testimonies. The meals are held quarterly and it was extra special this time round because the meal coincided with the Feastday of the Immaculate Conception of our Lady on 8th December.

Ju and Chris Mission Update: May 2008
http://ju68andchris.blogspot.com/2008_05_01_archive.html
Tuesday, May 06, 2008. My first week in the Philippines. It's been a week since I arrived in the Philippines. Felt like a long time ago since I was in Singapore! I guess it's the effect of settling into a new environment, climate et al! Last Saturday I joined the children's ministry for the first time. We serve the children in Montalban which is a resettlement township for the people whose homes were destroyed by a landslide in the dumpsite area where they were living. Again, thank God for small mercies.

Ju and Chris Mission Update: January 2006
http://ju68andchris.blogspot.com/2006_01_01_archive.html
Tuesday, January 17, 2006. It has been slightly over a month since we returned to New Zealand. How has it been? Is what comes to my mind as I try to describe this past month. My Oxford Dictionary of Current English explains “celebration” as “marking an important occasion by doing something special and enjoyable”. And yes, we have marked a few significant. Milestones the past month in special and enjoyable ways. There was of course, Christmas! As she returned to Korea and on to Indonesia and God knows whe...

Tuesday, March 06, 2007. Greetings from the Band of Followers. Dear fellow followers of the Lord Jesus Christ,. Last December saw the Band of Followers in South-East Asia for 3 weeks. At times it felt as if we were in the Amazing Race as we moved from one "pitstop" to the next in a matter of days! For some of us, it could well have been "Fear Factor" when faced with exotic Asian cuisine (like century eggs! And having close encounters of Kakerlake (the ubiquitous cockcroaches! Someone said, "Faith is beli...
