My Riding Journal: Forest Relics
http://mtnbike.blogspot.com/2015/02/forest-relics.html
Saturday, February 14, 2015. I was ordered out of the house by my lovely daughters and told I need to go for a ride so they could decorate the house for Valentine's Day. I obliged and headed to the Woodlot. I figured it had been long enough since I'd ridden there that 2 days in a row would do me good. My route was Platinum, Giant Killer, Bloggy and finally Shotgun. A broken trail relic at the bottom of Platinum. Hitting the drop on Giant Killer. Hitting the drop on Giant Killer. The Rock Roll on Shotgun.

My Riding Journal: February 2015

Saturday, February 21, 2015. Its great being King. I had a short amount of time to ride so Thornhill was my choice today. It has been dry lately so I figured I'd take the dog and enjoy a rip and she'd get some much needed exercise. It appears that the city has had a trail crew go along Bear Ridge Trail because most of the puddles and muddy spots have been worked on. It was nice to see that someone other that me had been working on making the trail run a little drier. Tuesday, February 17, 2015. I felt fa...

My Riding Journal: March 2011
http://mtnbike.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Sunday, March 27, 2011. Rockin on Giant Killer. My ride today took me to the Woodlot where as part of my ride I decided I was going to work on rocking the top part of Giant Killer. Today I chose to ride my pedlally bike (Trance) and made my way up to the top. I started my ride on Karpenter and then down Blood Donor. Though the Trance is capable of taking on these trails, riding the trails at speed is a little hairy on a bike that is kind of meant for XCish riding. Saturday, March 19, 2011. Words cannot b...

My Riding Journal: April 2011
http://mtnbike.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Saturday, April 23, 2011. Spring seems to have finally sprung around here. We've had the coldest and wettest spring on record this year so when the sun was shining today I was ecstatic that I was able to get out and ride wearing only a t-shirt and not my typical thermal layers plus a jacket and a toque. Once we hit the powerlines there was little snow here and there in the shade, but nothing that stopped us from enjoying the ride. Sunday, April 17, 2011. I then hit Mandatory Caution. It's been a few ...

Wednesday, February 11, 2015. Global News Interview: Trail Sabotage. I had a busy morning today. I spent the morning on Thornhill getting interviewed by John Hua of Global TV News. Your browser does not support frames. Click here to view the frameless video. After the interview I headed up OSR with a shovel to clear out some sections of trail that needed drainage work and rode down to the bottom and headed home. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). My Riding Journal: A Chance Encounter
http://mtnbike.blogspot.com/2015/03/a-chance-encounter.html
Tuesday, March 10, 2015. I got out of work on time today, did a few errands and was able to sneak in a quick ride on Thorn with my dog. I was on my Trance today because I have the suspension on my Rune getting the once over. I was only in cruise mode when riding, but I nearly rode my fastest ever down a trail or two today.weird. It was a nice quick ride and great to do a quick lap with new people. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Maple Ridge, B.C., Canada. View my complete profile.

My Riding Journal: July 2011
http://mtnbike.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Monday, July 25, 2011. I decided to go for a bit of a pedal today. With my bike loaded on my car I headed to Golden Ears park and Alouette Mtn. My route took me up the Eric Dunning Trail and then along the Alouette Mountain Fire Access Trail to the second shortcut trail. Along the way I spotted a few not so well known off the map trails that I one day hope to explore. Saturday, July 23, 2011. At the top of Cabin Trail we geared up and I began riding down to one of the last bomb hole sections that I plan ...
