Four years ago I was living happily in Reading, had 2 sons at home, worked in school finance, had a husband working in IT, and was a member at our local Baptist church. We then left all that (effectively chucking the boys out too! And spent 3 years by Heathrow while Graham trained at Spurgeons and led a small church. During this time both boys got married to wonderful young women. PS if anyone else is in this area, and would like to meet up, please do let me know! March 3, 2016. January 12, 2016.

How did it all begin? Connexion began over a hundred years ago as the ‘Prayer Union’ and has always recognised the unique role played by those married to a Baptist minister or missionary. The group has changed name a number of times but it aims to encourage and support those married to Baptists in ministry and mission, whether studying, serving, retired, or widowed. Connexion is Closing…. It is with sadness that we announce that Connexion, the National network of people married to Baptist Ministers, is closing. This is due to several reasons:. The low numbers of new members joining. This is due to previously held stereotypes and unsuccessful marketing efforts. We were only reaching 10% of people eligible to become members. The numbers attending our weekends away had reached a critically low number, thus making them financially unviable. No subscriptions are due.
